watched the 2nd of the millenium trilogy, girl who played with fire, last night

Really enjoying these films

They're excellent adaptations of the books - I think I reviewed one earlier in this thread somewhere.

The 3rd one is a more difficult film adaptation (if you've read the book you'll know this from the plot) - consequently it's not as entertaining as film as the first two, although still a very good adaptation of the book.

I'm dreading the Hollywood versions.

Tucker & Dale Vs Evil - Brilliant stuff and unreal that no studio has chosen to distribute this yet, miles better than Zombieland and bigger budget stuff, I wont link the trailer again though, as it basically shows you the whole film, just download it from all quality torrent sites...Wink

Been spending my time on watching films that have slipped under my radar recently.

Watched a film called Mr Nobody the other night. Really enjoyed it. Slow starting, different and I did not see the ending coming at all. Not my normal sort of thing.

Anyone else seen it? Worth a watch imo. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485947/ Only watched it because it was on the recommendation's of Gattica.

Popped to see Hanna, quite a quirky Bourne style thriller. Pacey, excitingly directed with a strong script, superb action sequences, a great soundtrack by The Chemical Brothers and a terrific central performance from Saoirse Ronan. Ronan is wonderful, really good. Completely upstages the leads with her, Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett

Also good are the locations from Morocco through Spain to Berlin

Quite unusual in places, it references fairytale and fantasy...gives it an off-beat feel

Not showing in many cinemas, worth a look if you get the DVD

7 tighty stars out of 10

The Lincoln Lawyer - 2/10 - The big budget bland Hollywood crap that makes me despair, like an extended episode of Murder She Wrote FFS!

Just watched Catfish, which is a documentary movie they showed on More 4 last night. Its the sort of film that if I describe, I could ruin, so I will just say it was amazing, best film I have seen in a very long time.

Real or set up in your opinion?  (assuming it is officially unknown either way)
Is quite a remarkable film.

Watched Crank 2 last night, well about 20 minutes of it.

How in the name of f**k did that film ever make money?

Possibly the worst film I've ever seen.

Finally got around to watching Inception on blu ray someone was kind enough to buy me....

Really enjoyed this ....  excellent story..good cast and well acted...di caprio turning into a very well rounded actor... just my sort of thing, the film, not di caprio obv...

8/10

went to see insidious Friday night but unfortunately my GF was taken ill just before it started.... watched a bit while she went outside and it was shaping up nicely... long time since I saw a jumpy horror at the cinema..although it was the teen girlie's in the audience that made me jump when they screamed.. was waiting for a quiet bit to go and see how she was so it didn't look like i was leaving cos i was a scaredy cat... fortunately she came and dragged me out as it was obv time to go..

seeing as she bought the tickets and i bought the poisonous fajitas may have to return for this one

TT documentary well worth a watch. You know that, if a documentary gets shown at Cineworld, then it's gonna be quality.

Guy Martin the star of the show.

Just watched the trailer and it looks awesome.

They are having a documentary festival in Sheffield next month, I've got tickets to the premier of Morgan Spurlocks new film and he is going to be introducing it. I've seen about 3 documentaries on the big screen and they were all brilliant, so yeah, any time a documentary makes a cineworld or odeon it should be a snap watch.

Abs unreal that Tucker And Dale has not even had a release here or in the Usa, when so much big budget crap is out there at the moment...thank you illegal torrents! but its a waste when there are decent writers and directors out there not getting any credit...
