Caught up on a couple by accident really.....

The Human Centipede... not as Gross as I was led to believe... maybe that makes me a sick puppy.... More comic than horror..pretty shocking acting although the mad doctor...was..well proper mad... A load of tosh obv.....

4/10

Paranormal activity..... very slow start but built quite nicely and gave me genuine goose bumps as it the set poeces played out..in particular where the girl is dragged out of bed and along the floor by an unseen force...proper spooky.... very good but a bit one trick i feel.. i have the 2nd one to watch..will be intriguing to see if they can come up with anything new.

7/10

Yogi bear...good kids stuff...kids didnt want to watch it said it sounded rubbish.. i have bred a pretty apathetic pair..but as always with these things they loved it.

Good live action romp, if you have seen any of the cartoons you pretty much get that as Yogi and Boo boo fight to save jellystone...mercifully short but brought back some good childhood memories..

5/10

The devils rejects

For some reason i thought this was a western.... but no.. a vivid trip of horror and mayhem as a family of serial killers go about their business and then on the run from an equally nutty sheriff.. good stuff and enjoyed it... quite gory and in your face and one of the few films that achieved a true 18 certificate..little old now but well worth a look for all you killing fans out there..

7/10

The Devil's Reject an absolute classic for me. Went to see it at the cinema without knowing anything about it. Better on the big screen too. Tutti farking Frutti anyone?

Watched The Kids Are All Right. It stars Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as lesbian partners whose teenage children are on a quest to meet their biological father (Mark Ruffalo) who donated sperm to a bank years earlier. Available on Sky Box Office now and thoroughly recommend it. I will give it 8 Tighty stars although I'm unsure by what authority I can do that.

Not understanding the hate for The Fighter.  I admit the plot is fairly routine.  But the actors, script, directing makes The Fighter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Every other boxing movie

I think mark whalbergs acting is awful in the fighter....whilst bale is awesome as usual. I think that about most of his films tho; there's prob 3 films I've liked him in, departed, boogie nights, other guys...he just shit... the happening is funny bad

i agree with this, its pretty much a one man show (bale) didnt like the film at all tbh, predictable, routine zzzzzz stuff. Wahlberg plays the same role in all of his movies ive seen, quiet withdrawn and boring, i liked him in four brothers and shooter, thats about all

Mantis stars are the equal of tighty stars

Agree on The Kids are alright. Annette Bening a fine actress in whatever she does

went to see the Lincoln Lawyer last night

feels like a 1970 movie, old music tracks, v poor camera work, mostly filmed in close up

No CGI , no stunts, probably cost less than $10m to make. Felt like a film you would watch on the TV  in the afternoon,

A defence lawyer uses every trick in the book to get criminals freed, until his best friend gets killed.

Then he uses the law to get revenge.

Maybe it was supposed to be like an episode of Kojak

Awful ,   don't see it

I liked it. Matthew McConaghy gives a fine lead performance. Expected a standard court room procedural but found myself enjoying it

Good book too, as all Michael Connelly's are

6.5 Tighty stars out of 10

Would you put A Few Good Men in that category?

Not really. From what I recall that was a stellar cast, and a strong story. Demi Moore, Nicholson, Cruise etc

7 out of 10 film though I wouldn't have seen it for a decade

I have a weakness for courtroom dramas though
