Yeah - I am a big fan of British urban movies and loved things like Bullet Boy, Kidulthood, Adulthood and I even liked a few that were pretty much universally panned like Sket but it just didn't really flow and it seemed a bit OTT and I didn't think the musical interludes really worked although the music was alright-ish i thought but the story was weak as were the characters imo.

...
The hunger games, lol its a total rip off of a Japanese B movie I randomly watched on netflix the other week, just a better version of it 6.5/10

Is a commonly held view by a lot of people who don't have a deep enough cultural frame of reference to realise that they were both primarily ripped off of Roman history and Greek legend (the Hunger Games even gave loads of the characters Roman names to make it even more obvious).

If you want films that are primarily about people fighting to the death then it wouldn't be the best choice, and the books of the Hunger Games are much better than the films, but if the sequels to it keep true to the underlying politics in the books then they'll still be worth watching though.

nobody watch st georges day

I watched it last night, very disappointed as I had be waiting to see this for a long time. It a shame as it had enough of the regular actors in it to be pretty decent.

I loved it Mantis. The special effect were outstanding, the animals were unbelievably real. Never seen 3D on the big screen, that along with the brillant sound just topped up a fantastic cinema experience. I've been going to the flicks since a kid in the sixties and although it's not the best film I've seen it's visually one the best film I've seen. It helps that it's a wonderful story from a marvelous book.

Who were the crew from Burnley they mentioned and I wonder if John Falconer was part of them  Cheesy

I see there is another Essex boys film about to be released ,  just how many times do they  need to tell that story?

Found a good one at last. The Imposter is an insane true story put together in a sublimely different documentary style. The main guy is absolutely nuts and runs a bluff which defies belief. I imagine it would score about 9 Tighty stars.

Dredd, Not as good as the Raid which has a pretty much identical storyline. Acting pretty meh but still watchable. 5/10

The Wedding Video, I had high expectations of this with Robert Webb and Rufus Hound but it really failed to reach me. 5/10
