Looper, a let down, confusing non sensual plot, unexplained/explored areas.

Visually good in parts. Boring a lot of the time. Crap ending.

Good Day to Die Hard

Bruce Willis' latest romp as John McClane sees him travel to Moscow to see his son who's in trouble with the Russian authorities but things aren't quite what they seem.

Load of pap. Full of action all the way through but fails miserably to keep your attention. It's definitely not a Die Hard 1 or 2. Over the top car chase is about the best bit.

I Give It A Year

Utter shite. Brit romcoms are NOT funny. This is like Love Actually all over again. But worse.

Stephen Merchant is a tit and the bloke from Pete Versus Life can't act.

Same old actors, same old Brit bollocks. Just fk off.

I'm tilting harder than cracksniper with A9.

0/10.

I know what you mean and the plot is a joke. But for some reason I found it quite funny and I liked it. Found the bloke from Pete versus life particularly funny in it, I think that awkward acting style he has made his character funnier.

6.5/10 for me.

Watched Oldboy on Sunday and it is one of the best films I have seen. I can't remember the last film that evoked the same emotion after it, it was a sort of shocked, stunned state.

Won't be for everyone. It is about a man who gets captured for 15 years for no apparent reason and then is suddenly released. He then has to work it why this has happened and seek revenge.

A really surreal film too. That is what probably attracted it to me most. It is also in Korean with English subtitles.

Is there a new oldboy or are we all talking about the one which was out 10yrs ago? Some serious catching up to do people. Worse than me just getting into Dexter.

Talking of remakes they have redone Red-Dawn! when I was studying Russian this seemed to be the only film they had in Russki, seen it loads of times, hope the remake does the cheese justice!

Have you any recommendations of films like and as good as the original Oldboy?

The remake is by Spike Lee and will be released in October.

You and Claudia Winkles in one corner simon, me in the other. Claudia thought it was 'brilliant'!

The whole thing made me shake my head from the start, up until the flounce, when Pete Versus Life did the hilarious 'buying lingerie' sketch. Tired, lazy, lowest common denominator, and way too English for me.

what % of films do you make it through to the end of at the cinema?

I'm guessing its higher than the % of comps he makes it past level 4.

Yuh, stayed all 172mins, thinking I might get there on the river, but still none the wiser when the credits rolled.
