Has Tighty been on the beer?

Does that question originate from the photo or the action at the felt... or both?

I'm not 100% of the names in this hand, but I believe Peter Wood (below) has just snipered Dave Anderson out of the comp. Anderson was all with on a flop of , but was snap-called (as you would) by Peter and his . No miracles graced the G Casino in Luton and Anderson was gone.

We've witnessed more doubles than a night on the town with Dana today, the latest encounter seeing Jim Reid double up Craig Bickerton with versus and failing to hit on a harmless Two Clubs board. Jim now down to 8.5k.

Karl Mahrenholz is treading water with 9,000. "Every time I've raised, this guy [Bernard Litman] has reraised me. A-K, jacks, nines, I've layed them all down, and each time he's show me a better hand." Karl peaked at 13,000, but has spent most of the day folding. "It's been an exciting day," he added sarcastically.

Adam Stoneman, meanwhile, is flying high with 50-55,000.

Dave Colclough was up to 24,000 although he was just seen having to lay down on an two spades board after seeing his 6,000 turn bet check raised all-in by his opponent. Down to 14,000 now...

Random chip count of the day. Steve Jelinek - 16,000.

Chip counts from the end of level 6 approaching shortly.

As the night grows older, we're starting to see more and more all-in encounters. The last one I witnessed involved blondeite Graham 'Chompy' Wheldon. With both players in early position, Paul Leckey found himself all in for his tournament life with against the of Wheldon. The flop and turn was looking good for Leckey, but he was teased devilishly on the river as the dealer fumbled continuously with the final card. Eventually he scooped it up to reveal a , although the wait, and the momentary sight of paint caused Leckey to palm his chest as if to calm his rapidly beating heart. Leckey up to 11,000.
