Quite a few folk, including myself, seem to have been playing for 4 years.

To what do people attribute this surge?
Late Night Poker imo, it pwned so much.

Missed out on LNP.  I was fed up of trying to get rich and failing on Betfair and decided that poker may provide a better solution than gambling so I tried a £1 sng on there and never looked back.

I think you should call this thread, In the Crow's Nest

I loved LNP and for years had a burning ambition to play live, but being around 2002 I didnt even know where to begin, every friday we played 3 card brag. I remember my bro in law at the time made a comment to the tune that i was unreadable.i got the discipline of folding during that time imo.i accidently found vc around 04/05,and after about 5 play money hands,i made a deposit.i remember the feeling when i took down my 1St sng later that night.and i knew there and then i just found myself a new hobby.it,s only a matter of time till i win that second sng.lol

Thanks for all your comments

Here another one                                    TRACTOR

Hi m8

How long have you been playing poker ?

>> Since 2000, so eight years or so.

How long on Blonde ?
I joined Blonde when it first started coming over from THM but had trouble loggin on that account,so Ironside created me this account since 2005.

Which sites do you play on
Mainly Cake at the moment but over the years played on most. I like Cake.

Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos
I play at a local pub game every Monday which is a tourny then cash game and one ot two other tournies a year at DTD or Casinos.

Had any big wins yet
Had quite a few with 10k being my biggest score when i was playing online mtts probably 4 or 5 years ago,
but really dont play mtts anymore for family and time reasons.

Do you play every day
Yes at the moment, im being staked for online cash by a mad kind Blonde, early days but seems to be going ok.

Where did you go on holiday this year

This year ive been to Feurteventura, Centre Parcs, Holiday cottage in Wales where it pissed down all week
and prompted us to book a last minute break to Spain for a week to chill in the sun.

How many miles a week do you drive
i drive 300 or so a week, i live in the stick so you have to drive for everything.

Do you prefere on line or Live
I love both forms of poker, live for the banter and the craic (and the softer players) and online for the convenience.

Who's your favorite Poker Pro
None really, if i had to choose probably Ben Grundy because ive been reading his blog from day one and he seems sound.

Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish
Played quite a few on my outings but not much i can say about that.

Whats your favorite restaurant, Chinese, Indian , french, Thai
Indian FTW!! I have three Indian takeaways a week! and maybe a Chinese too Smiley
My favourite dish is Dansak.

Does your wife/partner play poker
No she doesnt play and think it takes up far to much of our time but she loves going shopping with any winnings

Can I print this on the web site
Yeah, sure no worries.

Thanks

Interview with Merenovice a mathematical expert who has worked odds out for me many times

How long have you been playing poker

OK, about 6 years.

How long on Blonde ?

About 6 months.

Which sites do you play on

Many different ones. Predominantly Sky for the last 18 months but Full Tilt mainly when I want to play anything other than Hold 'Em.

Had any big wins yet

Nothing huge. Biggest tournament win to date is £1,188.00 (roughly).

Do you play every day

Pretty much, except when I'm resting.

did you go on holiday this year

Nope.

do you drive,

No, I've never taken a lesson in my life. I'm a firm believer in public transport (and scrounging lifts).
I've heard that you need to be sober to drive and it doesn't fit my life-style.

Who's your favorite Poker Pro

Ram Vaswani, Roland De Wolfe and Victoria Coren (and several others)

Whats your favorite restaurant, Chinese, Indian , french, Thai, take away

I like all those and more - are you paying?

Do you have a partner, do they play poker

Remarkably, I'm currently single.

Can I print this on the web site

Sure. I'll send an invoice for my standard fee. Oh, and I retain all other distribution rights. OK?    Crow>  errrr OK  !

Thanks

You're very welcome. Anything for a mate.
