By the way, if anyone knows anything about any of the players mentioned today, then please feel free to share your knowledge with us. Similarly, if you have a request, or want a particular chip count, then request away.
Er well, I arrived late and took my seat at about 8.40pm, I was on my way out the door by 8.55pm courtesy of a set over set jobby on the flop, that filled up on the river versus
Lawrence
Gosney
. That was an expensive 15 minutes entertainment for the evening LOL.
Ouch, I thought I saw your name on the early eliminees list. Hard luck.
If it makes you feel any better, you weren't the only victim of an unfortunate case of cold deckary. Vasileios Kontogiannis caught up with me earlier on to share his tale of woe. He'd seen aces cracked by kings for a 36,000 pot when a king arrived on the tun. At the time, it would have put him right up there with the chip leaders, but it wasn't to be, and he was gone.

Short Stacked Terry Brown 3rd to act, raises up the blinds from an early position to get 3 callers, button boy Gurinder Purewell, S B Shafqat Mirza and BB Mark Roberts.
Flop comes
SB checks BB moves all in, original raiser, Terry Brown folds Gurinder calls as does Shafqat
Cards up, Gurinder shows
for the flush draw, Shafqat A A and Mark 2 2 making trips. Turn comes
END OF STORY.
Gurinder and Shafqat now down to the felt.

Next time I returned, the table were laughing hysterically, the type of laughter where a spot of urine can slip out unnoticed. Even
Pete
Singleton
, who is one of the most in-the-zone players on the circuit broke his focus mometarily to raise a smile. What they were giggling about, I have no idea. Can anyone hazard a guess?
They were celebrating the prospect of a sponsorship deal for the Barca HU comp?

Couple of chip daddies.
James Mitchell 57k
Marcus Bebb-jones 85k
From where I am sat just seen the exit of Thomas Horton, I managed to get a quick word with him before he left, what a nice boy too.
He said he had been card dead and decided to push with his K Q only to run into 10 10.

Pete Singleton has doubled through off Marc Goowdin,
versus
on an ensuing
(come were secretly hoping for a three)...
board. He's remains short-stacked however with 5,700. "It doesn't make sense, he's doubled through three times and he's still short," observed MrCool.

A big hand developed on the near table,
Daniel
Ward
's bet of 11,000 on a
board being reraised all in by Richard Keleft for precisely 20,500 more. As Ward deliberated, Keleft looked as calm as the Caribbean sea, sitting back in his seat and taking a swig of his pint as if watching the cricket on a Sunday afternoon. In the end, Ward made the fold to leave him with around 25,000, and Keleft took it down.
Notice
James
Roberts
in the background perfecting a look that would make George Romero snap him up in a heart-beat.
Meanwhile, James Mitchell has smug mode activated, and rightfully so - he's
Marcus
Bebb-Jones
' closest competition with 55-60,000.

Just managed to catch Pete Singleton making a sharp exit out of the double doors. According to Marc Goodwin, Rob Clarke limp-blind-called from the small blind (I think I'm going to have to coin that phrases, even if it is gobbledygook) Pete Singleton's 3,000 push from the big blind. Singleton had the best of it with K-Q, but Clarke flopped a straight with K-Q. Wouldn't want to be the passenger of that journey home.

Des Jonas moment of exit goes as follows.
One limper so Des announces it's time to gamble so throwing in his short stack blind he gets his much needed caller flom the limpman ( Rob Clarke ).
Rob displays two over cards K Q whilst Dez shows the 2 3.
He left the table suprisingly quiet which is most unlike Des.
