Had a fry up at david loyds this morning and it was fuking horrid. For 7 quid you dont get beans, blackpudding or a cuppa tea. You get 1 slice of toast and its not buttered Sad never again

David Lloyd as in the gym, wtf do you expect?

Will be starting a "rate my salad" thread in the near future obviously...

Very good effort but please baste your eggs Eck - their yellowness offends me.

9/10

Aren't egg yolks meant to be yellow?

There's a distinct lack of scrambled egg in lots of these fry-ups...

9/10 ... i cant believe Ecks is getting such high marks.

I think he may be bribing the panel ... anaemic toast and snotty eggs make this no more than an 8/10

Inclusion of haggis means i cannot score it higher than 7.5/10

OK. This is a great breakfast, and omho the best one to date, but that being said you can't go throwing marks like 9/10 around. I've been eating breakfasts all my life and even with my vast experience I don't think i've ever seen a 9/10.

There is always, always room for improvement, and the marking must reflect that, otherwise, when a better one comes along, we will have nothing left to give.

This effort, excellent though it is must lose marks for haggis, underdone toast, lack of hash-browns, Burnt top/raw bottom sausage, mingy amout of tea in poncey mug, etc etc...

Like I said, this is definately the best effort yet, but lets keep things in perspective.

7.6/10. (All other breakfasts so far on this thread score less and need to be marked down accordingly)

Eck's looks the best so far, but I'd use a knife to slice my toast rather than a spoon.

As for the toast being under-done, I'm sorry but Eck has it done to perfection.  Burnt toast is bad.

looking back at this one I'd say this would be ahead of eck's effort if you had brown sauce instead of/as well as ketchup.

sauce is a major factor and I can't bear the thought of the only choice being the red stuff so eck is just edging it, you've got the edge on food/cooking alone though
