Welcome back to day 2 at the Thanet (where?) GUKPT. Got to admit, this place is growing on me, like a fungus or something. Ok, I'm joking, but is actually a really nice place around here and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's even a Starbucks here which is open to six selling enough coffee to make me as hyperactive as Mike Matusow in a room full of cameras. They reckon there should be another 110 or so players coming in today putting the total just shy of 220 which I think is a pretty good turnout considering no-one has a clue where Thanet actually is.

People expected to be playing today:

Jeff Kimber
Karl Mahrenholz
Dewi James
Praz Bansi
Sunny Chattha
Chaz Chattha
Pete Linton
Other names I can't think of due to tiredness.

Play will once again start at 2pm.

There

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Yes indeed, they are off. The TD attempted to start the blinds off at 600/1200 but then decided that that would be a little unfair on the players, so at the last minute relented and started them off at 25/50, same as yesterday.

Among those who have made it out to Thanet today are such poker luminaries as Priyan De Mel, Roberto Romanello, Jim "Bookiebasher" Moult, and the ever-welcome sight of poker leading ladies Michelle Orpe and Liv Boeree. Overheard conversation between Liv and Jeff Kimber: something concerning Mlles Boeree and Orpe sharing a bed? Not very sure about that, but I'm certain that it was all purely Platonic, of course. Not to worry, norkage fans, photos of the both of them on their way.
