ok, but he's a converted striker, I'd be expecting goals from him as a manager

then again I've just checked his stats and he's always had a poor goal scoring record. for some reason I thought he used to score a lot

Alan Smith has been up there as player of the season, and previously I couldn't stand him. Nolan's goals probably edge him out just. He isn't in the team to score goals so why would a mange judge him on that?! Look at Mascherano or Mackele's record and compare to that.

ahh, fair enough, that'd explain his record then. I assumed when he went to mid it was still an attacking role but that was kinda based on me wrongly believing that he used to score a lot

We were absolutely awful yesterday. We lack continuity and flair. We have far too many Nicky Butts and Alan Smith's we need someone who can put his foot on the ball and spray it from right to left, we just go backwards and then long. Kevin Nolan is abs awful, pls get rid in summer.

Yeah,for me Nolan's one of only two players,Enrique being the other who are good enough to play in a prem team,none of the rest are.

Gutierrez is really bad imo, liked him at first as he's comfortable on the ball but his end product is so bad it's unreal,how he makes the Argentina squad i will never know.Carroll  does have potential to be but he's missing a lot of skills to make it in the prem imo he very much reminds me of Ameobi.
