O dear. Redknapp health problems could rule him out.

Nobody who actually is a fan/likes football/don't work in the nufc commercial office will call it that other thing anyway so it's kinda meh imo.
Just shows Ashley isn't a superb businessman because it's obvious that by calling it the SDA, he's made it a completely poisoned chalice for any other sponsor and it won't make any money at all. Worse, we might end up with nothing on our shirts (costing Ashley money...) next year for similar reasons.
Without the passion and emotion that football brings, this is a bad business decision, first and foremost.

Not saying it will work but think his plan is: "They hate me anyway so I'll change it and give it a dodgy name, the fans will be annoyed at me. If a sponsor comes in to rename the stadium they don't take any of the negativity from getting rid of St James Park"
People say they will never take to the new name but they always do. JJB is now the DW. Division 1 is now the Championship. City of Manchester is now Etihad. I'm not used to King Power taking over from Walkers yet but it just takes time for it to stick but it will eventually.

All of your examples have a solid history!
It'll never take on in Newcastle but the media might be forced to use it. You really don't know geordies do you?
