Harry saying it's less than 7 now.
Why? If he wants him just bid and if doesn't why alert your rivals?
Either way get him a new contract please

Why on earth would Newcastle agree to this in the first place?

In fairness if the min release does exist it was set up when nobody expected that much from ba. He has played out of his skin this year. Nobody could have predicted 15 goals or whatever when he was signing.

According to Tony Pulis he has a knee thats a  ticking timebomb , so It's a gamble by anybody to pay for him. And as sov said, nobody was expecting the form that he has produced, he looked pretty donkish at West Ham imo.

The point I suppose I'm making is why would the player want a clause such as this?

I dunno, but I'll guess that If hes on a pay as you play deal then he wants the clause in for this exact reason, if he starts tearing it up like he has done then Newcastle I guess will have to offer him a better contract or else sell him

I dont really understand why nobody saw it coming.  He scored 7 in 12 games for a poor West Ham team and a goal every three games or so for Hoffenheim when they were a decent team challenging in Germany.

From NUFC.com

ESPN confirm that they will televise Newcastle's upcoming FA Cup Fourth Round trip to either Brighton or Wrexham  live on Saturday January 28th with a 5.15pm kickoff.

If we can get through that with the way the draws panned out we could have a little run at it, would love it if we got to Wembley, obv a way off yet but I can dream.

Yea, we looked so bad most of the game, QPR were terrible though, we had a few good spells. We need cabaye back, hes so big for us. Ray wilkins was so fkin tilting in the 1st half.

I must have been watching a different match.

QPR clearly the better team for most of the 90 minutes.

If Jay Bothroyd hadn't been so crap, we would have won comfortably.

Cheesy:D:D:D

Clearly watching a different game, or perhaps the fact away fans are located 2 miles north of the pitch is the reason why.

Your midfield is the worst in the premiership, absolutely terrible, although Barton/Taarabt may be better.

Wright Phillips playing on the left was baffling, hes one of the most one footed players who have played in the premiership, his ability is to get to the byline and get balls in the box not cut in and deliver.

Mackie on the right was anon and looked like he belonged in the championship.

Derry is never a premiership footballer either.

Defence is really bad, I think on todays game only Luke Young would get in our team and even then hes probs on a par with Simpson.

Kenny looked super suspect and although you had alot of efforts on goals they were mainly long, speculative shots that went down Krul's throat.

Gabbidon and Ferdinand are both championship defenders and if we had Ba/Cabaye stayed fit it could have been a cricket score.

I was actually really disappointed with Helguson who I thought was quite a good player.

Once you brought on your major goal threat Tommy Smith it was basically game over.

[ ] nice strip too Tongue

How did you find the stadium? First visit there?

tbf QPR cm is actually very good, but all 3 were out - Barton, Faurlin, Taarabt, that is a top 10 CM trio, rest of team is pretty terible though.
