Good job, we have no defenders.

Nailed on draw now.

Hopefully they don't have another 871 attempts in second half to land one on murrays head.

Chuffed to finish that game with 11 players and a clean sheet after that first half. Good result, onto the next

Guys,

If there is an appetite for a NHL thread, I'll start one.

If it flops, & nobody uses it, no prob, it'll just fall off the page.

I'll set it up later this morning, & my post will include all my accumulated NHL knowledge.

There might be a bit of tumbleweed in that thread Tony, especially at the moment in the off season. The league kicks off again in October so maybe then but its not the easiest sport to engage with from across the pond because all but a handful of the games start at midnight or later UK time. Its ideal for me  'cos I grind the graveyard shift so I can watch the games that start at 2am but thats not the greatest for generating interest on this side of the pond

Back on topic, toon looked fairly handy today. Definitely rooting for you guys make it back on the first attempt. While its nice to see smaller clubs like Watford and Bournemouth running with the big boys, the prem does seem poorer for toons absence.

Callum McManaman will become Newcastle's 12th signing of the summer some time before Wednesday.

He better fucking not.

Can't see him getting a good reception at all and quite rightly so.

We seem to be playing hardball with Sissoko and quite right too.

I'm praying we sell him, our 35m valuation is pretty ridiculous, fk Daniel levy though, glad we fked him off. Sell for 20m plus to west brom or Everton to get him out.

£30m to Spurs apparently.

Completely fleeced them. £25m for Wijnaldum too.

Not bad players by any means but they'll be found out at those two clubs before long.

Well played Newcastle.

How on earth did you get 55m for them 2.

Good transfer window the toon. Got rid of the bad eggs and signed pretty well. Made good profit too.

I think we did great business. I believe we made like 35m profit and of all the players that left only Townsend will be missed, not much could be done about that although it was a bit of a cock up to let him have such a cheap release clause.

Think we've targeted the right players to get us promoted and believe we will be strong enough to have a successful season so hopefully we recruit well next Summer if we do make it back to the Prem.
