I don't think Klinsman had much experience either.
Good luck anyway. I'd love Wednesday to be playing Newcastle again but prefer it to be in the premiership.

One of my top ten favourite Newcastle games. SJP, 93/94 I think. 4-2. Alex mathie scored a cracking half volley lob after sinton and waddle had done use twice to put you 2-1 up!

Harsh on his Charlton regime as they were sinking ship for whoever came in.

I can't agree with that. noone tipped charlton for relegation that season. he took the best squad ever at the club, combined it with the biggest transfer budget ever and somehow ended up with one of the worst teams ever. he's slightly fortunate that he was followed by two even worse managers who made him look good

tbf, you were never likely to get anything from todays game even if you had Jesus Christ as manager (although i think some of your fans think you have got JC in Wink )

With Stoke winning and pompey getting a point ... Its looking fkin bleak.

Personally I would rather see Sunderland go than your mob ... good luck.

Losing today was already built in to most people's predictions. A few of the teams around us have got results that I didnt think they would, not least Blackburn. Lets hope Sunderland take a few beatings over the next few weeks. Stoke next week is massive and I have to say I just cant see us getting anything. Stoke play well at home, we just dont play well (or at least long enough). With out defence Delap and co will be licking their lips for set pieces.

Just watched Match of the Day, that curly haired defender was shockingly bad.

Well I didn't see anything coming on Saturday but Andy Carroll has found an absolute belter of a header to give us some form of fighting chance. I was adamant that we needed three points to survive, so having got only 1 we are gone... or are we! A lot of the teams down there play each other in the next couple of weeks. A west Brom win, a few draws and it may still all be open. I think we may need to get two points from the away games at Tottenham, Liverppol and Villa. The best opportunity there would surely be Villa away on the last day of the season if they have nothing to play for, as looks like will be the case.

Of course that is built on the hope that we can beat Portsmouth, Fulham and Boro at home, which we have absolutely no right to assume at all.

In other news I have been offered a job in London, for my dream employers, so I am having to weigh up the pro's and con's of making the move even further south. I always swore I wouldnt go there. Its a hell of a long way home from there....

Thanks for the luck etc. They have basically offered me a package that is of the same value as I currently earn... the only difference now is that I have to cut my standard of living by the cost difference between Leeds and London... Tricky one now!

If Newcastle win on Sunday I'll take it!
