The game against Pompey is the biggest game you will have played in years, win it and your players will get some belief and confidence to fight and escape ... lose it or draw it and you are fucked, i really think it is that cut and dry tbh.

WTF has happened to Alan Smith ... that boy had bags of talent and potential, where did it go ?

Not sure he ever did. Didn't have more than Bridges as I saw it, and where is he these days?! Smith is too stupid to be able to stop his short fuse from getting in the way of showing the little talent he does have. Having said that I think he'd/he'll be alright in the championship.

Stoke game was the biggest for years and I think each game from now until the end of the season will keep topping the last. Until we can't survive! We will be in the bottom three until at least the second last game of the season however things go. Not sure the player will cope with that.

Smith is just shit imo kev. Dont think he ever had ability that made him a top class player, like Chris i think he'lll do well in the championship.

Bridges, now there's a player who's just been unlucky with injuries.

always vastly overrated imo, Goals to game ratio has been terrible through out his career.

Smith was quality before he did his leg in, never prolific but good enough to excel in the good leeds team and enough for fergie to buy him. Shame on the injury

Smith was never as good as Robbie Keane or Viduka, or even Michael Bridges imo.

What you all say is true.

Not nice to see him like that but i'm glad the football community seem to be trying to help him rather than just watch his demise.

I have looked at the fixtures and i think Newcastle will stay up. My prediction is 7 points will be enough - a win v boro and 4 points from pompey and fulham. The players have to believe it's not over though.

I sit in the lower west stand, have poor vision of the pitch and I usually see more of the game when I watch it on tv.
