Nick Gibson in the cutoff makes it 600 to go.  Small blind Mark Robinson makes the call, and then bets out 1,200 on the board.  Nick promptly puts in a stack of chips which more than covers his short-stacked opponent.  Robinson thinks, frowns, passes .

"Well if I'd known that," mutters Nick, collecting the pot and flashing for a monstrous flopped hand.

Marc Goodwin then wakes up, saying, "Where'd you get those chips?" clearly having missed Gibson's rise from short to just-under-average.
"I've won a few here and there."
"If I'd have known you had those I would've called with 4-6.  I could've won."
"I don't fancy my AJ of hearts on that flop against your 4-6," laughs Nick.

Interesting Ruling Time:

On the river of a Marc Goodwin says, "I bet the pot." The dealer tells him she can't count the pot for him so he bets 1,300 instead. They get a ruling where TD Ian declares if someone says "I bet the pot" the dealer can count it but no-one can ask specifically for a count of the pot.

Jen absolutely hates this ruling, because people should be able to keep track of their bets and there's no maximum you can bet other than all your chips.

In the hand itself, Goodwin is forced to bet the pot anyway, which is 1,050. He gets called, but shows to win.

Ah, i knew i should have popped up to Blackpool! What was her name dewi, help me out?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Players are just getting ready to restart, though there's a lot more interest in the big cash game than anything else.

Rumours that the German Pornstar Sohard Es Hertz, who, of course, played the 70's 'plumber' Lemme Plunger in Buff My Pipes 1,2 and 3, is playing in the tournament today have yet to be substantiated.

Rune Nikolaisen busts in eye watering fashion...  I caught the hand from where 9,675 was out in front of the behatted player, who I am guessing may be a resident of a Scandinavian nation of some sort.  Nikolaisen on the button was contemplating Ben Callinan on the big blind, who was contemplating calling.  It appeared that a few green 500 chips were in front of Callinan, and if I were to put this scene back together forensics-style I would say Nikolaisen raised on the button, got repopped from the blind, and pushed.  Some frowning, but eventually the call was made, which was interesting...

Callinan:
Nikolaisen:

Not an expression flitted across either players' face as the flop came down ... the turn , or the river spiking the 3-outer and sending the shorter player out.  In fact, it was like the volume had been turned off on the table - not a word, not an eyebrow lift, nothing from either player.

Two minutes later, "Would Rune Nikolaisen please come to the poker room cash desk, please."

Here spotted in the background of an earlier photo is the ex-player himself.

Hi Everyone!
Can someone please tell me how Darren Hickman is getting on?

Sure thing - if Chris isn't hovering over table three taking almost in focus pictures of your man, I will in a minute...

First of all there's always time for a quick third raise pre...if you're Thomas Middleton...  The cutoff makes it 900, the button reraises to 3,900, and Middleton calmly puts in enough chips to commit either of his potential opponents from the small blind (10,150).  The original raiser passes quickly, but the button takes quite a while and a couple of head shakes to pass his face up...
