can we get a message to redfox and tell him just raise with Ne2 utg and dont let them steal his UTG
Um, that's some specific advice there... we'll see if we can locate him. If you really think that will help.

Before Homer brings you sad news about El Blondie, I must share a tender moment between him and neighbour Marc Goodwin, snapped while both of them were comfortably stacked, in a rare moment of pro-on-pro affection (not at all one-sided due to one's having noticed the camera)...
For added comedy value, note Oysten Lund's Terminator-like impassivity in the face of the surprise affection.

Hoivold challenges Gwibbo for comeback of the day...
Andreas Hoivold had about 3k at the dinner break. He now has almost 50k after winning the big Q-Q vs A-K battle after a decisive
board.
Lawrence Gosney is out after pushing with T-9 on a K-6-6-9 board, unfortunately he was snapped by 7-6.
Trevor Reardon is also gone, his
no match for Thanet finalist William Martin's
on J-7-6-4-Q board.

El Blondie is out. Gwibbo raised to 2,000 from late position, Marc Goodwin reraised to 8,000 and Colclough moved in for 16,000. Gwibbo passed Jacks and Goodwin called with
only to see El Blondie's
, but a bullet-ridden board later of
meant that it was Goodwin who gotten one over his friend.
"What can you do?" said a slightly abject Dave.

Down to 55 players from 138 with two levels still to play, I can't remember so many people going out so quickly in GUKPT for quite a while.

You don't usually get a lot of time to snap someone on their way from their seat to the rail, so this is a slightly blurry photo of Mark Kelly. He'd moved in (for around 6,500) over the top of an Oysten Lund pre-flop raise to 2k, only to find his lhs neighbour keen as mustard to reshove his whole 25k in over the top. He knew it wasn't good for his
, and yes, he'd run smack into
(Lund was long gone by now). One King on the flop must have been momentarily intriguing, but nothing else happened and he headed off smiling happily. "Not bad for a freeroll," he remarked, displaying an attitude rarely observed among the busted.
Addendum: Mr. Kelly himself just came over and added that it was a 700 runner freeroll from Poker Player Magazine which he won to propel himself straight into the GUKPT ME. "Next time," he says. Best of luck, sir.

Extended Leaderwatch...
Besides Hoivold, Middleton, Newport, here are a couple more players vying for the top spot on the chip leaderboard currently:
Zachary Ford - 65,000
Mike Fisher - 50,000 Plus a green on green cardy/scarf combo of which Snoopy would be proud
William Martin - 75,000
Plus the guy we thought was someone's mate earlier has 58k, whoever he is.

Accidentally Atmospheric Photo of the Day
I would like to draw your attention to this photo I took flashless by holding still of Barry Grime, who nearly qualified for Extended Leaderwatch by virtue of having 38,000. Please note the amazing natural spotlight effect, and the eerieness reminiscent of David Lynch...
I expect him to start talking backwards and dancing to music only he can hear at any moment.

John Eames has knocked Lee Biddulph down to just 600 chips. Biddulph check/raised all-in on a
board but Eames made the call with
which was ahead of the
of his opponent. No help on the turn Biddulph was knocked out in the next hand by Tom Middleton's A-Q.
43 left.

Oooh. Nasty.
Nick
Gibson
had managed to boost his stack all the way from under 2k to 25,500, and was chatting away to his table. "Being behind is only a temporary issue," he commented, to many a wry smile. Literally the next hand, however, demonstrated how true that is, to his cost...
Pass to Gibson on the button, who made it 2,325. Over to big blind Lane Newport, who unexpectedly announced, "All in." He still has around 60k, and this was most definitely a large bet, immediately called by Gwibbo! Oops. On their backs.
Newport:
Gibson:
I didn't see the flop until Gibson had stood up and removed an ipod earphone. That couldn't be good news for the Queens - no - the first card out was the
, followed by
. A clearly frustrated Nick having just demonstrated how six hours of grinding can be undone by one all in coup when one is covered silently and quickly made his way out of the tournament area, no photo, no comment.
"I was tired of him raising all the time," defended Newport, but the truth was he made a big stab at the wrong time, got caught and is now chip leader.

Last break and then last level.
In the cash game, Sam Trickett has apparently lost a £9k pot to James Akenhead...The big game is now 3-handed between Akenhead, Channing and 'The Mole'.
