In this comparative lull in the action of the final 18, it might be an appropriate moment to introduce the payout (which will be more relevant on Wed, of course):

1 $1,000,000
2  $600,000
3  $325,000
4  $250,000
5  $175,000
6  $100,000
7  $100,000 (the Golden Ticket winner comes in as the final table's 7th)
7   $53,000
8   $50,000
9   $35,000
10  $35,000
11  $25,000
12  $25,000

Thanks Jen, incidentally any news on this Golden Ticket event?

A huge pot sees Tony G race into the chip lead with  900,000 - knocking out Tyrone Zinman in the process in 18th.  The "CRAAAAAAZYPOKER (.com)" guy had just built up a reasonable stack too, which just increases Tony's lead...

The Golden Ticket is the re-entry to the final table for the winner of the Consolation Tournament tomorrow.  Unconventional, but it's keeping the out players interested, as you may imagine..

Strummer wins a 100k pot off of Richard Gryko, with a bet on the end comprising the most of it - I think he had trips.

Kristy Gazes is a short stack again, and moved all but a 500 chip in which ActionJack called as "string bet" totally deadpan, leading her to announce "Almost all-in" and eventually pick up the blinds and antes.  I think the amount of times she can do this is somewhat limited, judging by the faces at her table... She also came out with the term "Redonkulous" which maybe my fevered brain actually coined but I'd like to hang around and see if she says anything else weird.  Keeps the spectators happy.

Jacko takes 80,000 off near-leader Marc Goodwin, in the following manner:  Marc Goodwin held AQ, against Paul's  .  It appears that Marc bet small on the flop of 6 7 A and called a min raise, then bet smallish again on the A turn.  The river brought an 8 and another bet from Marc, and Paul thought for a while saying something like "Well, I'm definitely calling..." before deciding to flat call with his bottom end of the straight.  It won.

I believe that word is used in Roald Dahl's "The BFG". Wink

Starting to drift off as hovering by the tables, I am off to leave the final 5 eliminations to El Blondie and Tikay to present to you, when they occur.  I hope Dave gets enough sleep too as the Consolation tournament kicks off tomorrow afternoon and with such an attractive top prize it's worth being properly awake...  We'll be back to see how they get on, no doubt.

Oh and NFHomer - that is where it might have rung a distant bell.  Roald Dahl, great.  (Personally the Twits my favourite).

Official Correction. The Chip Count of Bengt Sonnert was in fact 250k, NOT 50k, as erronously reported by Mr Burns. He's hopeless, & hapless, & almost hairless.
