Michael Hill was just eliminated in pretty harsh fashion by Robert Boon after a preflop raisefest led to an autoallin after the flop...

But to back up - Dinh Le raised to 600 preflop, reraised by Boon to 2,100.  Over to Hill who fourbet to the tune of 5,200 - exactly half his stack.  Le was no longer interested, but Boon called.

Flop: two hearts three diamonds.  Straight away Hill moved all in for 5,200.  After a very brief think, Boon called.  On their backs!
Hill:
Boon:

Turn:

River:

And an unlikely running fourflush sends Boon out with a bang.
ouch!

Another exit.

Joe Grech has just been Mallu-ed.

He made a big raise preflop with Q-Q, only to find a willing caller in Ali.

The flop fell jack high with two clubs and when Joe bet out 2.2k and Ali made it 5k, Joe moved all-in, called by Ali with for the flush draw.

The Queen on the turn gave Joe top set but also opened up a straight draw possibility and incredibly the fell on the river to complete Mallu's straight and eliminate Joe.

That pot has fired Any Two Mallu up the leaderboard with what is likely to be 35-40k now.

We are down to a single Romanello in today's field, after he got it most of his chips in on a coinflip.

Antoni raised to 500 from the button and Maz Nawab called from the small blind - but big blind Abed Eid reraised all in for around 11k. Romanello took some time about it, but eventually reshoved for not much more. Maz folded, and they were on their backs.

Romanello:
Eid:

"If you wanna win, you've gotta call," philosophized the Welshman. Indeed, but a queen on the flop and a notable lack of jacks or any other of Antoni's outs on the board meant that he was down to just 1,450.

All in the next hand, he was ahead with A-Q against Padraig Parkinson's 3-5 suited, but a five on the board, and he was heading for the rail. Chances of a Romanello win at this tournament = noticeably slimmer than earlier today.

Flushy was looking smug about this so I almost couldn't bring myself to write it, but it was pretty entertaining so here goes:

Sunny Chattha limps in late position (for 200).  Small blind Ali Mallu raises to 700.  Big blind James Dempsey calls.  So does Chattha.
Flop:   Check from the preflop raiser, so Flushy bets 1,200.  Chattha folds, but Mallu ch-raises by a further 3,600.  Undaunted, Flushy calls.
Turn:   Mallu checks again, Flushy makes a (weak, or 'seeming weak' I get so confused sometimes) 4,200 bet and Mallu passes what he says was Eights.
Flushy shows him the Two Diamonds which apparently had a three diamonds to go with it.  His neighbour punches him on the arm and says, "You just can't help yourself can you?"

And it was Flushy who admitted his pwning to me just a moment ago.

Jim Moult just popped it up to 600 on the button, called by Mallu, before Flushy re-popped to 1,800, holding 9-T.

Back to Jim he now repopped it  to 4.5k, only for Flushy and Mallu to both fold.

Jim showed T-8 in a slick re-move.

"Why couldn't he have J-8! I was dominating him. Sick!" said Flushy jovially as Jim laughed heartily at getting one over on him.

And for no reason other than that there's something very pleasing about things coming in threes, Dealer Of The Day: Ms Dena Hassan:

And while a heated argument breaks out over a last minute ruling here, they head off on a 40 minute break for dinner, if they did not avail themselves of the food bowls, or just to hang out and talk about poker, probably, if they did.

Any idea how James Keys is doing please?

James Keys doesn't look to have progressed terribly high in chips - Jen said he was on about 9,000 at last check but there should be full counts coming from the Main Break any minute now.

Dinner break over, the players are back at it again!

Lots of questions will be answered in the following levels...

Can Flushy hang onto a stack?

Will Pab play another hand before christmas?

Can Romanello no 2 (Roberto) avenge his brother?

All these and more questions will be answered shortly!!

Willie Tann is no more. He found his way into a hand against Ash Hussain and got all his chips in on the river of the A-T-T-rag-rag board holding A-Q -- but Ash had flopped a rather nice full house with A-T and moves into Official Chip Leader Position (according to me) on 55k, while Willie's had his hide Tanned and heads towards the cash game.

Mr. Ledger aka Curtis aka Sheriff Fatman just busted to Eirik Svanes, who if you couldn't tell by the name and the dapper exterior is a Scandie, also has one of those mysterious round tins of snus (those teabags full of tobacco) by the rail next to him...

The Sheriff raised preflop, which involved announcing a bet which I think was 1,200 and throwing in his last remaining 5k chip (his total stack around 6k).  Over to Svanes who reraised to 3,600 and before you could say, "Race!" he was all in and called.  Sheriff's vs. Svanes' .  The came straight away on the flop, and with no more drama we're down another blonde and to 68 players in total.
