Jeff Duvall open-shoves for 120k, and Pab calls him from the small blind. Lots of people who were not taking any interest in this tournament previously suddenly appear from nowhere, bobbing around at the rail.

Pab:
Duvall:

The dealer tries to muck all the cards, necessitating a reshuffle of the deck. Oops. Some muttering from the people who were not interested until this hand. Tony Cascarino stands up again so that no-one at the rail can see anything. But anyway, the all-important board:

Thus Jeff Duvall doubles up to around the 250k mark. The crowd disperses. Tony Cascarino sits down again so we have an excellent view of nothing happening.

And Tony Cascarino finishes in 6th place, winning £27,600!

All in preflop again, this time he found Guy Steel reshoving, and with the Aces!  Cascarino's could only look on as the board came out ending his ninth life but giving him a perfectly respectable finishing position and a decent chunk of change to go with it.

Stuart Rutter raised to 41k, only for Jeff Duvall to shove for 180k. A quick call, and Rutter is slightly ahead; the people who only seem to be interested when Duvall is all in appear from the ether and hold their breath at the rail.

Rutter:
Duvall:

Board: two spades three clubs two hearts

Cheering from the Duvall supporters who disappear into thin air almost immediately afterwards as he doubles up to maybe 370k.

Stuart Rutter raised to 40k, and found a caller (we think -- only tuned in when the flop came down) in Eirik Svanes.

Flop:

Stuart checked and Eirik bet 60k...

...To which Stuart announced all in...

...And Eirik announced call.

Rutter:
Svanes:

Turn:

River:

There is a count to see if he's covered, and for a sad few moments Stuart just stands there at the table as the dealer counts everything up to see if there's change -- but Svanes has him covered and he's gone. Thus with much applause and handshaking etc, Stuart Rutter is OUT in 5th place, winning £35,900.

With the high proportion of over-27s in today's final, and what with the younger generation representatives seeming to favour scarves/smart jackets/the same t-shirts they've been wearing all week, there is a distinct dearth of hoodies to photograph today. Thus I bring you Hoodie Cat to fill that void, and keep myself amused in a slow moment. Enjoy:

Wow, the final four players aren't hanging around.  We are getting at least three times as many hands per hour as at the start of the day - all four of them are making their decisions with the absolute minimum time spend.  And it's not like the decision is always, "Pass," either - there've been no walks, with Pab and Duvall currently winning the most from preflop raising in the last 10 minutes of the level.

Just now Pab raised first to act to 42k, only to find Jeff Duvall repopping it a stack of blue 10k chips (200k?) and instantly passed showing Sixes - Jeff reciprocated showing Nines.  This hand took about 35 seconds all told.  Never seen anything like it.

Here's the final shot I managed to get of Mr. Rutter, just pre-demise, not looking the happiest we've seen him.  The half-a-face on the right belongs to Eirik Svanes, his Eliminator.
