Ash moves all in from the small blind, and Tony Ross in the big blind...

...

...

...Calls!

Tony Ross:
Ash Hussain: Two Diamonds

Board: three diamonds

Tony doesn't really register for a while that Ash has made a straight, but that is what has in fact happened, and Tony Ross is eliminated in 4th place winning £7,500 at some point next week in his Bluesquare account.

Three handed!

It's David "Stripey" Rudling versus Marc "Check Out My Big...stack" Goodwin versus Ash "Superstar" Hussain!

So exciting, Alex Martin is nearly wetting himself.

Marc raises to 18k from the small blind and Ash Hussain...CALLS!

The flop falls .

Marc checks, Ash leads for 20k and Marc quietly passes, muttering something gently about A-Q.

Marc Goodwin makes it 21k from the button and small blind Ash Hussain passes. David Rudling in the big blind thinks about it... and then announces all in.Goodwin's throat makes a noise like a creaky door, just before he passes -- he claims pocket tens...

Ash makes it 14.2k.

David Rudling makes it 44.2k, an extra 30k.

Ash now passes showing pocket sevens.

"One time" he says as he lays them down, not in the internet kid sense but in the "Next time I'll f*** you up man!"-sense.

Ash aggressively limps from the small blind and a positively fearsome Rudling growls in menacing fashion...before also checking.

The flop falls K 3 4.

Laggy check from Ash and David springs into inaction with an audacious check.

TURN:

Ash again lays the aggression on thick with a quick check before David finally puts the first bet post-flop in of 12k...and Ash folds.

Thrilling!

Ash folds his button and David Rudling raises to 17k from the small blind. Big blind Marc Goodwin scrunches up his face, and calls.

The flop:

David checks, and Marc bets 30k. David appears to be chewing the inside of his cheek. He sticks his tongue out and stares Marc down for a bit -- and then he passes, letting Marc take the pot.

David raises to 16k from the button, and gets himself some blinds and antes in return.

Ash calls from the sb, David checks from the big blind.

Ace high flop... 6k from Hussain, fold from David.

Easy as that.

Ash raised his button, but small blind David reraised and put Ash off the whole idea.

As Jon Raab says, "David's different class right now. Blinding play from David."

Only slight hysteria creeping into his weary, announcey voice.

Just a quick note to pass on my admiration for my updating colleague Dana who has worked her little cotton socks off today, despite feeling very under the weather, whilst keeping up her acerbic humour.

She's one determined kitty. My congratulations Dana!

Is It The Break?

Yes It Is!

Everyone is trying to outdo each other with tales of what-time-I-got-up-this-morning stamina-ful weariness. And what snow they had to drive through to get here. Praying for a swift conclusion after the break.
