Lawrence Gosney moves all-in preflop against a series of limps, Peter Semmens moves all-in behind and all the others pass.
Semmens flips over Aces as Simon Trumper comes over to commentate.
"And Lawrence Gosney is all-in for his tournament life, he's up against aces. Lawrence has
."
A titter from the crowd.
"And the flop is
, Lawrence has hit his five,
and
. Lawrence has trips!"
"Ooooooooooooh" goes the DTD cardroom.
But then..."Oh the
has come on the turn!" says Simon as his commentary causes even more coolers to occur. "Lawrence needs the case five on the river, but it's the
and we've lost Lawrence Gosney!"

By the way, we're suffering a little with delays as DTD have had to move us from one table to another, due to the fact they have FOUR tournaments going now at the same time. The £1k, the £300, the £75 and the Student event plus maybe four or five cash tables.
DTD is probably as busy as I've seen it since the Norwegian Poker Championships.

Just a reminder that full chip counts will come at the end of this level in 50 minutes time. As the field thins, we'll begin to do them more regularly.

Double up for Michaela Kalmar. A-Q versus K-Q all in on the turn of a 9-9-5-Q-3 board. She's now on 70,000 and keeping the only remaining husband/combo alive. Watch out Team Flanders, there are some new kids on the block.

Kevin Matthews has doubled up at the hands of Rickie Vedhara in what was possibly the most familiar coin-flip of the all.
Matthews =
Vedhara =
Board =
Matthews was short-stacked, so Vedhara still has around the 55,000 mark.

The very active Daniel Haglund fires 20k on the river of a
, Glynn Hodges makes the call and Haglund instantly mucks. Hodges allows himself a little fistpump and a "Come on" as he turns over
to win the hand.
Colin Hinds has gone out with Queens to Mark Wilson's Aces.

Billy Defty raised it up preflop with
from early position and
John
Eames
made the call with
.
The
flop was a cruel one, and inevitably resulted in a double up for Defty who now had 130,000.

One man who must be a Star Trek fan is

Not being one to rush for anyone, Reardon continued to dwell as Gourlay chewed on his ipod cord and sat back in his chair. It was at this point that I noticed a glimpse of a slightly more rotund belly than usual, his recent relocating to Sin City perhaps effecting his eating habits a little.
