Yuck. All thoughts, comments welcome. I've had a horrible run over the last few months which has severely dented my confidence (and bankroll) I had one $3k score a month ago, but apart from that, I seem to constantly get in horrible spots like this. Game #6794844213: Heads Up £50 (ID8861146) £50+£2.50 - Hold'em NL (7/15) - 2008/12/29 - 17:23:54 (UK) Table "8861146 - 1" Seat 1 is the button. Seat 1: Foamer (1500 in chips) Seat 2: Theof2502 (1500 in chips) Foamer: posts small blind 7 Theof2502: posts big blind 15 ----- HOLE CARDS ----- dealt to Foamer [ ] Foamer: raises to 45 Theof2502: raises to 75 Foamer: raises to 300 Theof2502: raises to 525

Stuck it in. He didn't snap and I thought I was good. Then after about 15 seconds he called. He had queens. Slowrolled. Oh well.
At least I can put this down to variance...

is playing some post-flop poker wrong here, get a feel for our opponent etc etc before we start playing bingo? is it not an idea to play big pots when we have a good idea of villains range and that we have it beat? I think you should of just called his re-raise then played some post flop poker with this guy rather than getting into a re-raise war with no idea if your ahead or not..
is this your normal approach to HU poker NoflopsHomer ? or do you generally play a more solid type strategy..

It's difficult to range oppo or"get a feel for him" when it's the first hand, flatting now or taking a different line for the purpose of pot control because we have no info on villain is ridic, we have the 4th best starting hand in HE! these HU games are soft and against unknown AIPF is def +EV. or do you genrally play a more solid type strategy ?? this is about as standard/solid as it get's, if he plays the hand any different he played in wrong IMO. before we start playing bingoHis min raises suggest he's a bit of a dougnut anyway and more often than not you're up against an underpair, suited A or two overs, hence it's not bingo when you're getting it in as a % jolly most of the time.

You dont fold this ever.
Really?...What do you put oppo on with this action? blinds are 7-15 for crying out loud...what hand does he have that your beating or not flipping with (at best he has AQ here...if you're up against a complete idiot maybe TT..but surely not less?) Taking a 50-50 for all my chips is considered bad at the early stages of a normal STT (especially when I consider I have an edge)..why is it a good thing here?

It's in £ and i assume it's crypto then if i could race AIPF against the average range oppos wanna play for stacks against my JJ all day long i'm a very happy man at the end of the year.

That's my main question...I have not heard anybody mention what they think oppo could have.
