Interesting hand for Neil Blatchley, he bets 600 on a and is facing a raise to 2,600. Clearly with a difficult decision, his opponent then pushes the rest of his stack in on top of the 2,000 raise telling Blatchley he can't force him out of the pot. So it now seems clear he's up against a drawing hand.

But Blatchley decides to give it up and gets show the for his trouble.

Albert Sapiano is OUT. Did he call or was he pushed?

The Sam Trickett, John Eames, Paul Lammas table is currently six-handed, which might please some more than others.

Stephen Kirk (far left, stacking chips) reraises all-in on a board, after a long think Stephen Pearce (leather jacket) makes the call with . "You're ahead," says Kirk flipping .

The river is the and Kirk escapes his Kobayashi Maru and is now on 24k.

Stephen Pearce is crippled and goes out soon after.

Jerome Bradpiece and then, perhaps Jerome in 10 years sitting two to his right? (Jerome subsequently loses this hand, betting 600 on the river of a Two Clubs board and calling another 1,050 only to be shown for the rivered flush)

Man down!

I missed the action but Dave Colclough filled me in with the details that Stefan John Haffner is our first exit, getting it all-in on the river of a 4-6-8-6-9 board with 9-9 but running into Trinh Lam's 6-6 for a particularly nasty cooler. Especially when you've come all the way across from Norway...

Ouch..

[ ] Brighton is a lovely place to spend 4 days with nothing else to do in January !

Apparently he's a Brighton local so it's not so bad.

Surely if Stephen Kirk was in a Kobayashi Maru situation then he would have been drawing dead?

Thankyou sir. Since I'm solo I need to riff against the forum readers rather than whoever I'd usually be working with. So....

Originally this tournament was going to be without a fifth community card and just finish on the turn. Kirk changed the rules...
