wiiiiii, jetting off to toronto on monday.  has come round sick fast!

think we've got the route finalised now.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Toronto,+ON,+Canada&daddr=Niagara+falls+to:New+York,+NY,+USA+to:Mt+Washington,+Allegheny,+Pennsylvania,+United+States+to:indianapolis+to:Chicago+to:columbia,+missouri+to:Wichita,+KS,+USA+to:Estes+Park,+Colorado,+USA+to:Albuquerque+to:4050+Red+Rock+Loop+Road,+Sedona,+AZ+86336,+United+States+%28Red+Rock+State+Park%29+to:Las+Vegas,+NV,+USA&geocode=&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=43.103364,-79.028263&sspn=0.110168,0.209427&ie=UTF8&z=5

totals 12 stops and will take 2 weeks.  think we're gonna stay in Toronto for a few days before going to Niagara falls for a day or 2 then arriving in NY on the 17th.

17th-20th - 3  nights New York
20th-21st - 1  night  Pittsburgh
21st-22nd - 1  night  Indianapolis
22nd-23rd - 1  night  Chicage
23rd-25th - 2  nights Columbia
25th-26th - 1  night  Wichita
26th-29th - 3  nights Colorado
29th-30th - 1  night  Albuquerque
30th-31st - 1  night  Arizona
31st-26th - 26 nights Las Vegas

We've booked tickets to see the Jets vs Bills when we'r in NY which should be sick.

Anyone with any ideas for stuff to do in the places we're going defo give me a shout.

When we lived in NYC, the Lads liked meeting up here http://www.jekyllpub.com/ for drinks now and then.  I never went so can't give an opinion, but sounded ok.

You HAVE to go here  http://www.fao.com/stores.html#new-york  I can just picture you lot running around this place like big kids trying out all the floor sample toys.

Will have a think and add a few more over the week-end.

Sf jealous.

I highly recommend having lunch in 'the restaurant on the lake' in central park. Window seats ftw.

If you are going to empire state get there super early - like 8am.

Enjoy, trip of a lifetime !

When your in New York I'd recommend you get the bus tour pass. You can just jump on and off at the places you see and like. We went round on it without getting off and then after seeing what we like just stopped at those places with the bus. The tour guids point out good places to go to, had a great pizza in little Italy.

just to be different, i wont offer places to see in NYC...

Pittsburgh is a lot cooler than i thought it was going to be. 'the strip' district is in the old industrial part of the town, but has quite a lot of nice bars and restuarants. Spaghetti Factory isnt as naff as it sounds. cioppinos is a bit more sophisticated, and has a proper cigar bar.

east ohio street is like a step back in time.

hotel wise, the omni william penn and the renaissance are about the top. otherwise they are all much the same, in which case go for location (downtown) above anything else.

get the duquense funicular railway at night and see a great view of the city.

avoid talking to steelers fans cos they are all assholes.

Good move staying in Toronto for a few days it's a great city, I lived there for seven or eight years a while back.

Most of the best bars, nightlife etc. are along Queen St.(not a wind-up)to the West of Dundas St. and if you're into Chinese food Toronto's Chinatown is amazing, it's one of the two or three largest in North America and is centred around Spadina Ave. which is one block North of Queen St. IIRC.

Dunno if you'll be able to do this, people book months in advance for Gary.

Looks awesome, makes me want to do it again.

You sharing the driving as some of those hops are long drives, Pittsburgh to Indianapolis is at least 6 hours as we stopped off in Colombus overnight. Indianapolis was actually probably the most boring place we went to thought Colts stadium (Lucas Oil Field) was pretty awesome. I would pretty tempted to drive straight to Chicago and spend 2 nights there.

You will have an awesome time, anyway.
