rich has 15bbs in the sb, bb covers, folded around to rich who has AQ.  He makes a standard open, the bb peels. the flop comes KKx, rich jams, bb snaps with KJ. gg rich.

I prefer the shove because I'd be jamming a wide range of hands there so need to have some good hands in my range.  Also when I open off 15bbs bvb if the villain has any understanding of mtts and gives my game any respect he should realise im not folding to a jam.  It's therefore too obvious that im trying to create the illusion of fold equity when in reality theres none.  A good player will see thru this and may now fold some marginal hands such as A2, K9, QJ which they would of called with if I open shipped. (also jamming avoids any awkward spots where u have 12bbs back and a 6bb pot and you've missed)

Having said that most baguettes on party dont have a clue about whats going on so opening is fine, just a shame this particular baguette runs good after peeling for 20% of his stack.

If im on the bb with KJ vs rich in the sb i would probably call a jam assuming rich hs been shoving often, however I would have to think about it vs an open - sometimes jam if i think the sb is clueless or is trying to be tricky, would probably fold vs rich peel and bink vs rich, fold vs other regs.

also team shreddies  needs to start running good deep on sundays, every1 pls ship $5 to kidpoker on stars.

we have all been playing poker a long time. It would be bad if a bit of bantor effects the way we play our hands. We were funking for rich hard last night. Just in our own unique ways. I have been guilty of post hand analysis after a shrewdie has lost a big hand, and agree it should be left until after. I think the skype convo has a lot to go with recent tensions in the stable. There are so many characters who act as catylsts to others, we sometimes all do get carried away. Im gonna boycott the skype chat during my sessions, and just open msn if im deep and need opinions on hands from selected shrewdies, flushy etc........ Let us gogogogog this week.

I feel the "you lot" is being directed at Rooks, Trigg and I in this situation.

I think that some of the hypocrisy in this thread is rife.

Firstly though, i don't know where the term "anti-railing" has come from in regards to last night. This would be madness as we all had a small piece of Rich, and if you saw the skype convo you would have seen ALL of us screaming for the cards Rich needed when all in pre. And the amount of "GL Richs" being said by everyone was probably a new record high.

All that happened, and i feel it has been over inflated, is the [  ] wp mate, and handshake emotions on Skype when Rich busted. This is not something that is new, and whilst i appreciate that Rich was in 2 Sunday majors, its been the norm for months, if not years.

Maybe now we're in a stable and we're a team, a team which has a stable pool, this should change, and at the end we should be more sympathetic. I would be happy to adhere to this.

The 2 things which i saw as unacceptable last night was Rookie telling Nicky to "Go Away, Rich can fk this up himself" and then Nickys attacks on Rookie. Rooks is one of the funniest people ive ever met, and has had to endure more shit than most (although he did win the brawl) but this was a bit harsh to both Nick and Rich. Nickys attacks were to be fair, in response to this, but some of his words were OTT.

People did discuss the AQ hand, and perhaps in a negative fashion from Rick in particular, but this was only after Rich came on asking for everyones opinions.

a) Flushy
I think Flushy definetly has the right to come on and say what he did. I do though think some things have been reported to him incorrectly about our conduct.
Flushy is always sympathetic when you bust out of a tourn and never rubs you down. Hes a good person to talk to on msn about everything poker related.

b) LeKnave
I assume Jones is joking when he comes and quotes what Flushy said.
Jones has in the past been seen dancing the streets of Headingley when Rich or myself bust a tournament deep.

c) Rich

yeh i really hate some of the anti-railing ppl get sometimes + the rubdowns. Its just not gna help and gna prob make them tilt ridic hard.

wtf is this. I have a problem with this.This is the hypocrisy i refer to. Your as bad as anyone when i bust out of a tournament. If not worse. Everytime i close my eyes, i still see the smile that used to erupt on your face when i busted a tourn, no matter how large the payouts, before you had the stable percentage.

d) Nicky
Nicky is a great guy. And its no secret in the last 2 weeks hes changed. He has become more of a leader, and as manager of the stable this commands a large amount of respect. Hes stopped coming on Skype, started concentrating on Poker more, and has been playing really well.

I just think that 2 weeks is too soon for him to come and air strong views about the rub downs, when he used to adopt them if not more, then just as much as anyone else.


Right, i've said what i needed to say and i don't want to argue with anyone.

More togetherness in future?

I'm really looking forward to Sheffield TV dogs on Tuesday with Rich, Knave, Rooks, Turny, Trigg, Middy and Tommy and then looking forward to getting my head down on Wed, Thus and Fri night and playing some poker and hopefully winning Flushy & the stable some mad dimez.

Can do this also, the only reason im so keen on the Skype convo is because i feel i learn a lot from posting hands and asking opinions from players i respect, i.e. all the Shrewdies.
