A few more chip counts all from the same table:

Mad Marty - 6k
Junior - 7k
J. Atkin - 20k
Carlo Citrone - 14k
A. McLean - 41.5k
M.Z. Hussain - 7.5kk

That's one hell of a line-up. Good luck, Junior.

Carlo is bopping away to his i-pod. Reminds me of my dad actually. Guess he's getting old. Cheesy

Jen's been struggling with phone calls to vodafone but I believe she's back in business now.

Rumit has trippled up to 7.5k.

Barney Boatman up to 40k and progressing very nicely indeed.

Barry Neville is on 15.2k.

Well I've been off air for a half hour or so thanks to the collective muppetry of the vodafone guys.
"You've been barred because you have a spend limit on your card."
"Can you unbar me?"
"Yes."
"Thanks."
Still not working.
"You've been barred because you have a spend limit on your card."
"I know, I had the bar lifted."
"No you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"It's still there."
"I know."
"Would you like it lifted?"
"Yes."     Repeat over five phone calls.  Finally get back online.

Here's a pic of chip leader (or thereabouts) Alan Mclean, looking rather wistfully at his pile of chips.

On a break now, Alan no longer has all of those chips. He lost almost 20k of them to Atkin with AK versus the youngster's pocket sevens! Atkin's stack now approaching 40k!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Next blinds are 300 - 600, and a rather fatalistic Dan Samson tells us it's all likely to go in next level (he's got just over 6k)

80 players remaining.

Some counts pre-dialup freezeout:

Jeff Buffenbarger     15,000
El Blondie                25,000
George Harle                  13,000
D. Clarke                 11,300
L. Pattern               18,400
Howard Plant           18,500
Steve Bovis             30,000

The sharp rise in Steve Bovis' chips came with a set over set scenario - he held    on a    board, while Mr. Harle held the unfortunate  .  It all got in and Steve doubled up.  Apparently that's the second time in a week.  Ouch.

Mad Marty raises 3,500 from the button, it having been folded round to him. Welshman Ian Herbert goes all in for another 6k or so. Marty gives it some chat then passes. Ian shows pocket twos. Marty reels.

Just moved base for a minute to see if the dialup reception (or whatever makes these little cards work, when they're not barred) is actually better where Jonathan has set up his camp...
