pic of the boy Nicky Evans doing wht he does best plz.

As requested, here's Nick, looking pensive, thoughtful and calculated, or, perhaps, just sleepy. It's actually quite difficult to get near Nick as he's playing on the very central table and a combination of George Geary's ridiculously sized fan and James Morgan's bald head makes it difficult to get a clear shot without balancing on one leg and pulling my hamstring.

Great Scott! Well, not great really for Ivan Scott as he's just been eliminated by Hit Squadder James Akenhead. I only caught the aftermath, but Akenhead eliminated his man with A-J versus A-T, Scott receiving no further assistance.

Here is enjoying his success with a cheeky smile and a glint in his eye. They do love their poker these guys.

On a three clubs board, Mick McCloseky calls a bet of 4,000 from Robert Price. Price shows , and McCloseky swipes his cards in the muck. The Irishman now down to 3,500 and wearing a face like a firmly smacked bottom.

Here's the victor, whose price was ultimately very right.

Gooooo Tommy! Could we have a chip count if poss?

This is his first GUKPT, and his table is mammoth! Tommy, Colclough, Roberto, Tabi Tabi, Mulla and Ramsey (though he doesn't seem to be there?)

I remember the early days of Bolton and Cardiff in the first year, sitting at tables and not recognising anyone. Does anyone else think the GUKPT has got so much tougher the last couple of years?

Well, he's certainly heading in the right direction as he's just sent Rick Trigg back to the woods. A simple affair according to roving reporter Fran, all the spondoolies flying in on an king high flop with Greco's aces a country mile ahead of Trigger's A-K.

Before that hand, I also saw Greco reach the river of a with Jerome Bradpiece. After the turn was checked by both parties, Greco paused momentarily on the end, before moving all in for 3,750. As Bradpiece tanked, Greco remained sitll as water, his experience in front of the camera over the years perhaps aiding his ability to remain composed. After a minute or two, Bradpiece made the fold, and Greco took the pot.

All hail, King Bokker!

Ian Woodley has already followed Rick Trigg down the motorway. Distributed his chips evenly, according to former tablemate Nick Gibson.

fran again

well 2 out 3 aint bad bazza,i was called over by julian to speak to Iwan Jones about a big pot he just won

Iwan limped UTG with 77,Pippa Flanders raised to 400 and was called by Andy Bradshaw,Jeff Buffenbarger and Iwan..the flop came a mouthwatering

772  Iwan checked,Pippa made it 1500 Andy Bradshaw thought and folded 88(which he revealed after)Jeff folded and Iwan called.
turn came 8(would have been a great action card)Iwan checks Pippa checks
river 3 and Iwan bet 3500,Pippa didnt like it but made the call with JJ
so quads for Iwan puts him on 17000 chips and Pippa down to 7000

And with youth, comes a striking dress-sense, most notably from Rick Trigg who was last seen cutting down trees in the Grosvenor car park.

Dave Penly is another early casualty. "Kings into aces," he said dejectedly.

Pretty sick table draw for your brother - he seemed fairly solid when i played him.

I think any players 1st GUKPT is a massive learning curve - i played like an uber nit - and had a totally sick table. Thinking back, not sure ive had a worse one since!

As for the fields - they are def some of the toughest ive played. I dont think you ever get a table that you can full on abuse, you just hope to just get 1 or 2 good players not 6 or 7........ oh wait..........
