Mr Lawrence Gosney made it 55k to go, and after a moment's rather excellent play-acting, Colin Young in the small blind announced that he was all in for 122k total. Call, and oops...

Gosney: three clubs
Young:

Board:

The more perceptive of you will have noticed the absence of threes, straights, flushes etc on that board, and will thus have come to the correct conclusion; namely that Mr Young doubled up to around 250k. Gosney meanwhile down to 170k. We are still nine, and I'd like a nap.

Probably happier than he looks:

An interesting hand.

Paul Newman made it a min-raise 40k utg and there was a Mexican wave of suspicious folds all the way around to Doc in the big blind, who called.

The flop came down and Doc checked it; Newman swiftly announced all in for over 300k. Doc looked as though he was really thinking about it, but passed. "Show it, show it," chanted Hassan Irfan. "What do you want me to show?" asked Newman. "Kings," was the very confident reply. Not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure that Newman flashed the Two Diamonds...

Nothing really happening on my watch...raise/fold etc etc... Lawrence Gosney looks to be the shorty now. Hassan Irfan seems to be more interested in chatting to his mates on the rail. Everyone else seems doped up on thorozene.

More excitingly, Richard Hawes is chip leader in the £150 with 5 left.

Doc makes it 56k from the cutoff and Lawrence Gosney calls in the big blind.

Barry Neville commentary: "'E's a rock what's raised that oop."

They see a two spades flop and check it; in fact they both check the turn and the river until Doc shows A-K and Gosney mucks.

This could take a while.

Gurpreet Nagi raises to 50k with about 200k behind from the cut-off. Hassan Irfan sets him in from the big blind. Nagi sighs and calls.

Nagi:
Irfan:

...("Yes!" shouts Irfan, "Fives, baby!!!")...

He's tempted fate with this flop though, but blanks on the and river means that Gurpreet Nagi is OUT in 9th place winning £1,893. He played impressively well during the tournament, we'll probably see more of him. Irfan is close to chip leader with Doc, but there's still 6 other dwarves still in...

Actually, weirdly, no. The kitchen has announced that they are out of, not only cheesecake, but also chocolate fudge cake. Ice cream only for dessert, I'm afraid.

It folds around to Steve Jelinek in the small blind, who shoves to cover big blind Colin Young. After a mere moment's face-pulling, Young calls all in.

Jelinek:
Young:

Board: an ace-free

Young up to 400k, Jelinek down to 240k.
