Erm..they know how to play...that doesn't mean they understand the overall game...which is why sooo many top players become shit managers.

lol. The tilting bit is anyone who honestly believes that Giggs deserved this award. 12 starts where he's done nothing fantastic and some subs appearances - WOW. We've got the best league in the world with so many great players and Giggs gets this vote - ridiculous.
I hate pretty much any team that isn't Chelsea with a passion but wouldn't have begrudged this award to Gerard, Vidic etc...
Give Giggs the Lifetime achievement award, the long serving player award...not this!
Next thing you know they'll revoke Ronaldo's trophy from last season and give it to Eduardo because everyone felt a bit sorry for him.

It's so tilting that these thick bastards, his fellow professionals, appreciated what he has achieved in his career and voted for Giggs who is a Professional Footballer, and has played in the year in question and is thus eligible to be voted for as the Professional Footballer of the Year

It's not about understanding the game, it's about understanding what they should be voting for!

But there are other players, such as Vidic and Gerrard who have achieved far more this season (or just in the first half of the season), who are far more worthy of the player of the year award.
