Moorman watch

A while ago Chris was moved to the very far table, seat 8. From that seat he has had a perfect view of he back of Simon on the table next to him, in seat 5

Simon has been steady around the 35-40,000 mark for a while now with Chris slightly behind in the 25-30,000 region. Quite contrasting playing styles. Chris in a lot of pots, applying regular pressure with small bets whereas Simon is more deliberate, and when in a hand inclined to bet large, but playing far fewer hands.

Quite interesting to watch Chris, it is as if he is the father as he is watching his Dad's progress with an almost paternalistic regard, and proudness, constantly smiling.

Irrespective of their results this weekend, I suspect this is an experience they'll both remember.

Lawrence Gosney is out. James Akenhead raised to 350 with Q-9 and Gosney reraised to 1,000 from the big blind. The board came out Q-9-6-8-4 with Gosney check-calling all the way bets of 1,650, 2,250 and 4,000 or so all-in. Gosney mucked when he saw Akenhead's top two pair, the latter suspecting he had something like Jacks or Tens.

Is this correct?

That's what James told me. Why?

Dan Carter's exit was a swift one. He had shoved with Q-J after several limpers, but the (now eliminated) Mike Lacey made the call with A-T.

"Hmmm," thought Dan, "Live cards at least."

Flop: A-A-A

Charles Ihle had doubled through Michael Denton

Denton raised pre with

Charles called on the button with

flop

Michael bets 2,500, Charles raises to 6,000 and Michael flat calls

turn

Michael Bets 3,500, Charles pushes for 6,000 total, called

a blank  on the river leaving Denton in trouble and Ihle at the security of 27,000

I like this line with KK, you get all the money in when you are behind but they save 2500 when they have a draw, minimizing value ftw!

Keir Ratcliffe raises preflop, Edward Lundon moves his short stack all-in.

It's passed to Paul Byrne in the small blind and he moves all-in...

And then Jake Cody moves all-in from the big blind...

And then Keir Ratcliffe calls...

Lundon:
Byrne:
Cody:
Ratcliffe:

Lundon almost quadruples up, Cody and Byrne are out and Ratcliffe can't even get a sidepot...
