So in season 2 the writers said it is definitely not purgatory and in the end the sideways timeline was purgatory.
So watched every show of every season and was really convinced they wont go down the purgatory line will they?
What do they do - so disappointed with the end

In fairness, flash sideways only happened in the final series and the main storyline on the island stayed well away from the whole purgatory thing, I dont really think it made up a significant portion of the plot, it was just a nice way to send off the characters imo.

I don't really get being disappointed because you think they lied about where the story was going. would you have preferred it if during season 2 they just told you the ending?

Very satisfied with the end, very satisfied that what we saw in the last episode was roughly what they had in mind when they first started the show. All the unanswered questions were for me not particularly important anyway.
What the hell do I watch now? I've nearly caught up with 24, time for a new show.
Californication then Entourage, or vice versa! will not be disappointed

Just seen the Jacob backstory with his mother and the man in black. Total bollox. After the Ricardo ep and the Desmond ep, which were both incred in terms of flashes, I cannot believe this was follow up.
4 left to watch and I'm now not optimistic.
