http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counties_of_Ireland

lists Londonderry with footnote - often referred to as Derry.  Londonderry therefore correct.

Forget your Wiki.  The Bible of all that is right and true in Ireland...I give you the GAA:

county Londonderry has 890000 google hits

huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge objection to silo's answer please.

I don't even know any counties in Ireland, yet alone one starting with L.

Q2.   Name a county in Ireland starting with the letter L

Limerick - - 6
Silo, HoldorFold, sharplea, trafficjam, Mair, Robert HM

+1 autofail imo.  if he's gonna look it up he should at least keep quiet about not knowing a correct answer first.

Will not debate Derry Vs. Londonderry, however you have a point with your case for a google charge.  Am considering an auto fail...with double points for google farce.  Give me a sec to think about it.

I consulted a number (half a dozen, there or thereabouts) of teachers in the area.  They all sided with ye on the Ireland argument, however they concurred with me on the Derry vs. Londonderry issue.  So there you have it

Excuse me but this is ludicrous, You consult Eire teachers likely unsympathetic to the union about Derry or Londonderry and take that as gospel?

Absurd. Londonderry is clearly not a fail

Leicestershire would have been an ace.

It's not in Ireland, but like that matters to half the people on here...
