Neil Cartwright wins a nice pot with two black Aces on a king high board against Zbigniew Pakleza. After the river it goes check-check and Cartwright declares "one pair". Zbigniew flips top pair but laughs when the Aces are exposed

Sometimes life is unfair. Kev has gone off on "norkage and valet hunt" with the camera. His parting instruction to me was "you do the poker, I may be a while!"

Don't worry, I'll get my own back. I might tell the update audience what he was saying in his sleep last night

A clue is found in this picture

Lively hand between James Atkin and Andreas Andersson

Atkin had raised pre on the button, Andersson in the big blind calling

flop and turn saw significant action

the board read

as the river brought a third heart and Atkin bet 15,000 into a 25,000 pot, when I took the above snap

Andersson dwelled, half his stack to call, worried about the flush I assume

Eventually he did so with the flopped straight...only for Atkin to reveal the flopped straight. Chop Chop!

Atkin "I was praying you had 8-10"

Andersson "I was hoping you hadn't rivered a flush on me"

Whilst on Valet/dealer hunt, i saw the demise of both James Browning & Carlo citrone ... Carlo lost a chunk and then ran his remaining stack into a bigger pair  77 into 10 10

James lost with 88 v AK

Daniel Nutt has taken his first setback for sometime

James Atkin raised UTG, got the standard four callers

Post a   flop it was checked to Nutt on the button who bet 7,000, all pass except...

Andreas Andersson check raised all in for 35,000

Nutt deliberated and called with the Non-Nutt draw-tastic

Andersson turned over   for over-pair with th added benefit of being some of Nutt's outs

turn   had Andersson shaking his head

river a brick,

and Anderrson doubles up
