I'm failing to see how any of the quoted rules cover this.

I've also just found under IRREGULARITIES:

14. If you drop any cards out of your hand onto the floor, you must still play them.

Not quite the same thing, but it possibly suggests that bob doesn't consider this to be a misdeal.

but it was not a player who dropped card to the floor, but the dealer. Therefore a misdeal as per rules A and F

Please do not try arguing the case any more.  As I said, cant be doing this any more as it is being ruined.  I also see this as the reason 25 players has gone down by half..

(a) The first or second card of the hand has been exposed by a dealer error.

This rule only applies to the first or second card dealt. So it wouldn't cover it if it was say the 3rd card dealt.

(f) Any card has been dealt out of the proper sequence (except an exposed card may be replaced by the burncard).

And this means dealing to players in the wrong order. I don't think we apply this here.

Complete nonsense failing them for this when it is written within the rules as scenarios that could happen and their answer is one of those scenarios.

lol. don't give in to the haters cf

fyi most london cardrooms and several in europe do not declare a misdeal for a floored card, it is put faceup on the table and treated as an exposed card

for the purpose of this quiz it could have been the first card so not a fail

This makes sense.

I only consider this to be a misdeal because everywhere I play treats it as one.

Treating it as an exposed cards makes more sense to me.
