That stand looks very much like Highbury which is the only place where I've ever seen floodlights in a line across the top.

Not highbury, the architecture is completely wrong. Highbury was classy Leitch.

Oh boy, that picture brings back such beautiful childhood memories.

Beware, I may have to make a Diary Post.

But that looks more like a donkey than a horse to my (untrained) eye. The Milky had a proper, great big, horse.

Excellent spot. I just posted this to illustrate the nose bag. I will post a proper draught horse pic soon.

Not a draught horse I don't suppose, my memory has the horse as being much bigger, but otherwise an incredibly evocative photo.

Objection.

1) I'm supposed to be working, this is distracting me.

2) Tighty is a geek.

3) Tighty has worse OCD than me.

4) Football is Tighty's specialist subject (along with 37 other subjects). & Football Stadia Architecture ((pre March 1950) is his specialist specialist subject.

5) gatso is not worth 2 points.

Blackpool

Was going to guess at war evacuation ... but no gas masks etc ..

Which means I am guessing at a holiday snap and Blackpool Station OR at Euston to board the train to blackpool ?

A toddler makes sure that the luggage does not get lost by hitching a ride with the porter at Paddington station during the Whitsun holiday rush, June ****

Bonus point for Kev
