darts. closest to the bull wins

I vote for this.

On a more serious note, clearly there's no 'ideal' way of choosing a team. Online MTT seems fairest for giving everyone an even playing field. My only concern with that would be that the players that go through will be representing blonde in the poker community, and we've had a tricky situation before where someone won a seat at an event via a blonde freeroll and was perhaps not the best advertisement for the forum.  The only other alternatives though involve someone (probably tighty) having to choose people, and I don't see anyone wanting to be put in that position.

Has anyone had a nose round the other forums to see what they're doing?

I've had a nose round a few. THM chose a team. Sky are doing an online league which I believe is private freerolls. Chezger has Duke selecting his team. APAT have Leigh (Pawprint) selecting a team. Bristol have the same team as last year. AWOP don't appear to have a thread up about it.

And trust me, find a way other than someone picking a team.  Seemed a good and simple job at the time.  I have a list of nearly 50 players wanting to play and only now have 7 spaces available after the reduced numbers were announced to fit more teams in.

Good luck to all Blondes trying to get in.

More than welcome to Claire.  When I thought it was going to be teams of 10, I said that at least two places would be randomly drawn from all who have shown an interest in playing.  I might have to make that one place now, I could easily pick three teams and I could justify every player in them.  It's tough.

Cook-off to select the team. Mantis is made non-playing captain and gets a little scooter to whizz around on Ryder Cup-style, dispensing cryptic but inspiring metaphors.

I'm happy to drop out of this to give others a chance. I had a go last year so I'm happy enough with that.

In my opinion it should be a similar selection to last year. $10 wednesday / thursday / friday donkament on Blonde. Highest finishers get the spots.

Adam. If it's just the money that's a problem I'll put you in an mtt for 90% of the winnings + stakeback.

It's not just me though Matt. There could be others that want to play but can't deposit cos they're skint or for other reasons. I was just using my situation as an example. A freeroll gives everybody a chance to play.

Either that or get Tighty to give everybody a random number and use http://www.random.org to generate 8 players!
