Booked the Vista Suite at Mandalay Bay for the last 3 nights of my trip at a discount rate . Wiiiiiiii
How much? $180 a night instead of $340. One of the last nights before I came over to LA I won around $600 in a 1/2 game at the MGM and decided to live it up for my last couple of days. Looks great on the website. Enjoy

I'm out of here tomorrow. Managed to do pretty much sweet FA on my last full day in Vegas. Didn't wake up till 1.30pm and it was 5pm before I ventured out of my room.
At 11pm I finally got myself sat down in a cash game and managed to pick up $400 after one rivered straight vs KK, one flopped full house with KJ and one 'please please please fold' bluff with the nut low of 45 on a T239J board.
Been a fun trip - the final scores on the doors were +$838 for cash and -$2520 for tournaments (with two near misses).
The Venetian deepstacks really are awesome and I would thoroughly recommend anyone who has any idea of how to play a tournament to give them a go.

N1 Nicky, stick it all on casino war if you ask me. Found a decent bar on my last day in Vegas called the Yard House In the Town Square shopping centre, $10 taxi ride from MGM. Reckons it has the biggest selection of draft beers in the world. Can't believe that but it had a cracking choice and was a nice change from the Casinos. I know Dave has been missing his Boddingtons. http://townsquarelasvegas.com/dining.html?sobi2Task=sobi2Details&catid=14&sobi2Id=115

Oh yeah, Yardhouse is awesome. There's a good club around there too, forgot the name. Evans has gg-ed the ME. Jones grinding between Nenad Medic and Steve Jelinek with 22k. I'm off to play cash.

Omaha game in the V is pretty incred. Playing the nightly 120 before going with Nick Wright for some steaks.
269 players in the main event with 148k up top. Gl Jones...

I was waiting for the duece bus to arrive downtown this afternoon as I was about to make my way to the V to rail the boys and eat some Chinese food at my favourite Asia Noodles when i saw a grizzled old black guy who was obviously down on his luck as he was sitting on one of those stone benches near the bus-stop and asking for spare change in a gravelly tone that Louis Armstrong would have been proud of. Everybody was ignoring him but I had 50c in my pocket and quietly slipped it into his hand and then joined the back of the queue.
The bus arrived and I got my $7 ready in my hand with the $5 bill on top to buy my all day ticket and the old black guy was still sitting on the bench, as I went past him he enquired in the same gravelly tone almost sotto-voce "got a spare five?".
Just a quiet day for me today although I'm about to play some cash at The Nugget and have a few glasses of wine so minor fireworks are not totally out of the question as I think Andreas is still around. Coming home tomorrow evening on the BA flight which leaves here at 8.30pm and I will be bringing a couple of Cantor's finest corned beef sandwiches to sustain me rather than subject myself to the inedible muck that BA calls food.
I've had a really great time here even though it was a solo trip this time but I've just about had enough and as always will be pleased to get back to my cosy little flat and sleep in my own bed; it won't be long now..
