So there i was in leeds having been knocked out of the blonde bash early to a hand that i will post in my bash report with loads and loads of pictures of Tikays antics up there.....
I digress, I had to be back in St Albans to take the under 14's for training, so decided as it was only 5.15pm I would stop off at Luton on my way home, I mean having seen the drought I realised I had better come out of semi retirement to break the dam. 2nd for me please mr chompy. 30 runners, no deals, drought over
dinner suit and bow tie intact though i did get a few weird looks.....bloody rich in contrast to the some of the sights you normally see in Luton on a Saturday night
I may play today as well, in normal clothes......a quick double is on the cards

Back to the top of the league you go Mr Snat, 12pts for finishing second to Perry Mason sees to that. Richie is down a place to second.

Wander over tomorrow Luther if you're there, say hello. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Sir Donksalot. He'll be the one in the Hannah Montana t-shirt.
I may or may not be wearing an unironed hooped top.

I may well do    .......         anyone wearing a creased QPR shirt should be easy to spot.

If I ever manage to final in the £5 rebuy, will I qualify for the Blondie League thingy?

Richie I think you should seek revenge on Snatty by attending your favourite tourney of the week at the mo; Yes I am reffering to the legendary triple chance - YES TRIPLE I SAY - Tuesday nite game at the infamous Luton G.
As long as nobody swears along te way, you have every chance IMO.
GL; may the force be with you.

They were all there tonight...
Snatimaras managed less than an hour in casual attire.
I managed four hands, two of which were AA and KK.
Sir Donkeys and Sir Matalan lasted a bit longer.
Pelham lasted seven hours and annoyed Sir Donkeys, which constitutes a good evening imo.

Getting knocked out after 4 hands has a lot going for it. At least you don't waste 7 hours of your day.

Go on then, time for a quick tournament report...

Got in after about an hour (tourney capped at 50 due to lack of dealers), taking Snatty's seat on a table that included Fenland Paul, Pinot Grigio and Mr Phan down the other end, and the rather more solid Pizzled and Lalit this end.
First hand, AA. Irish dude two to my right asks 'How come he can raise to 350 after already making it 150?' Or something like that. No sir, the 150 was the penalty...
Four callers inc Pinot and Phanny.
Marv.
Flop KQJ.
Aah nuts. I give up.
Pinot and Phanny manage to get it all in with two pair apiece on a KQJ98 board. Nice.
Three hands later, 5xBB raise utg (500), called by Pinot's replacement and Phanny.
I had KK in the SB.
Make it 2200.
Call (bird), fold, call (Phanny).
Flop QJ4.
Sigh, can't give up again. Kinda obliged to shove any non acey flop, so in goes the 5,000.
UTG re-shoves.
Phanny insta calls with AQ.
UTG QQ.
GG.

So I blasted myself out of Sunday faster than a speeding a ticket and with some sadness found myself at a loose end. Nothing going on at the G......half an hour later Chompy blows himself out of the same seat......I suggest a trip out to the Circus who I have found out have a £25 freezeout with 6000 chips plus 1500 for £1 if you register before start time.....Chompy is having none of it, prefering a take away and a room full of self loathing on his own......... A quick comment on young Ian who on Saturday night seeing that he only had four tables and enough dealers made the comp dealer dealt. Well done him and I tipped accordingly......... anyway I am going to put up last nights visit on a seperate post for those who are interested.

Oops, OK      .....          I take it the League is restricted to the more experienced and successful m/board members then.

Anyhow, I believe I'm making solid progress after getting down to the last two tables in the 'Sunday Five' - it won't be too long before I start climbling the 'tournament ladder' towards you lot LOL !

One question though - why are so many of the players in the £100 Freezeout so scruffy?

If I didn't know better, I could have mistaken them for a gang of navvies going off to lay some Tarmac on the M1.

Why waste your money on clothes and razor blades when you can instead buy 25g of Golden Virginia, Stella and a tournie entry?Huh?
