Updated up to and including Sun 1 Feb.

Celtic got off the mark for the campaign by bullying the £5 rebuy boys (fifth after building a monster stack) in Sunday's early kick off. Six points to the hoopy-shirted fella. Shame Celtic couldn't do the same against the might Inverness Caley Thistle merchants.
The number of games column won't be updated again until the end of the month (except my figure) but I'll keep updating the score as per the games played to the 31 Jan. That's not as complicated as it sounds imo, just hard to explain. Or something.
Anyway, enough of Luton-snow combo crap, Vegas beckons. I may decide to include Venetian results here, depends how I do obv.
The bad beat stories will begin here on Wednesday. Can't revive the Celtic And Chompy diary for this trip, as no Celtic in attendance. That will have to wait until June.

NEWSFLASH

Celtic finds level in $5 re buy tourney...

News reaches us today that well known and respected Luton Regular Celtic Calenti has at last found his niche in the Live Poker scene...

Only Last month we found him in the £1000 GUKPT main event but after a spectacular failure he has decided to drop down a level...

On Sunday afternoon amidst a sea of  Gill breathers Celtic terrorised the self deal field with his own unique brand of raising and calling ranges that literally took the breath away of his uneducated foes...Kings & Queens fell like nine pins to assorted versions of the Celtic filth and  the FT appearance will go down on his CV proudly next to the points racked up in the Blondite league he is so desperate to top... and if all fails will get his m8 chompy to fiddle...

Next stop £30 Tuesday Triple chance for a real challenge...

buy in irrelevant correct imo. The Sunday afternoon crowd seem a better craic than the Tuesday night brigade imo. They can take it VERY seriously.

Updating the scores didn't take very long, no points for anyone Monday or Tuesday. Trevor Webber won on Monday night (lol) after braving the elements in TW3, TW5 or TW7. Personalised number plates eh? Will I be sad enough to buy CJ0MPY this year? Probably.
Given the depth of talent in the Luton blondey league, plus The Sicilian, it's pretty disappointing we only managed to win one tournament between the lot of us in January. Something tells me last month will turn out to have been the least productive come the end of the year. Danny De Boring would be top of the league by some way were he in it. And that can't be right innit?
Got to Vegas by way of a minor miracle. I know how it felt to run as good as MDD yesterday, with everything going right until I got in a Dominic-style bust up (aye op Nico) with a Swedish dude in the $120 at the Venetian.
All the racing was off Monday and I was desperate to get out here - there ain't gonna be much jumps stuff all week by the sound of it, so boredom ftw - but it looked 50-50 at best on Monday evening.
Tuesday started badly. Missed the train from Bedford by five seconds and had to wait half an hour for the next one. That one should have got in at 9.45, perfect for a 10.45 flight, but it got stuck a couple of times in sarf London. Some proper snow around Croydon.
I'd mentally given up on it when I got to Gatwick at 10.30 and the Virgin bloke said 'Nope, it's on time, I'll put you on tomorrow's'.
Then got a text from Celtic saying it was showing on the website as being delayed until 11.15. I managed to get back on but wouldn't have been able to had I had luggage to check. Result. Who needs a suitcase to carry six Posh shirts anyway?
Flight was surprisingly empty given Monday's had been cancelled and four exit row seats were free after most had got on. I nabbed one and never got moved. The bloke next to me had to pay 75 quid for his. Result number two.
The taxi driver from the airport told me there was a convention just starting at the Venetian and that he'd been dropping business types off all day. A convention on...concrete. Fascinating.
The place is packed and I was told I was in the Venezia tower when I checked in.
'No chance of getting in the other tower?'.
'It's your lucky day sir, a room has just freed up. Two queens (not Celtic and the Siciliian; rather beds) instead of one king (Chompy) but you can have it for the same rate.
I don't normally play on the first night but got a kip in and decided to have a crack. Tony Chapman and Lovejoy on the two tables next door. Probably shouldn't have played in truth and certainly shouldn't have had a few Newcastles. Oh well.
Some early poker thoughts...
The standard hasn't improved since November;
It took all of 15 minutes before I saw someone crash out with THE Vegas hand, KQ, 12000 pot with the blinds at 25-50 on a K94 flop. Other guy had K9;
It's no good shove monkeying with 25 off when the SB is sat waiting with the powerhouse that is QJ off for two-thirds of his stack, Well played sir;
This will probably be a good week to play cash, with all the concrete fellas chancing their arm. No interest to me though.
As for the Swedish dude, wtf? Blinds 200-400, UTG all in for 900, he makes it 2500 (6000 stack) two spots later. Everyone else folds. UTG has 77. Sweden has K7. LMFAO. Obv a king on the flop.
I just said 'You are Soooooo Swedish'. He didn't seem to like that. Cock.
Celtic, The Sicilidonk, shame you're not out here. That'll have to wait until June I guess.
