When I was in Vegas last year I chatted a lot to an elderly dealer who told me that he had played all his life against the best Vegas could offer, but now he does not play at all, because of the bad beats. After last night at Luton I am starting to REALLY understand how he feels. Sorry to bore you with a bad beat story but hey. I have pocket tens the flop a ten an ace and a small card, 2 of which are spades. I have around 10 thousand chips my opponent just a little more, he raises 3.500 I push all in , he thinks for a while then pushes with ace/jack, does he really think I would risk that much with a raggy ace??? yup you have guessed it, he has the jack of spades it comes runner/runner spade to give him a flush.

LOL ... Unlucky Edna... It was ugly... but an odd night.
Only 29 runners, a few locals Edna,Jim McBride,affi..etc plus a car load of young lad yokels from Newmarket who did nothing to dispel the rumour that most people from Suffolk and norfolk have intimate relations with near members of their family... They also had a penchant for tattoos..which was nice..
Finalled despite losing 5 out of 6 races and suffering a horrendous call from random donk who short handed prior to the final made a button raise.. i looked at KJ and decided if i was playing it against this weakish looking steal I was raising . I set him in having more than double his stack...he still had 80% of his stack but decided Q 10 Clubs must be in the region of front running and called..A king on the flop was good but brought a flush draw..

As Celtic tells me let them know at the table and don't hide behind a keyboard..so i announced to random donk what a shit call it was..he sat impassively..probably wondering what mother had told him not to forget on the way home..oh yeah condoms for when she wants a mother son cuddle.....
Had snatty on my table for a while b4 i relieved him of his chips.. and he sat with a bemused smirk on his face as he watched one of the aforementioned tattooed sister humpers play every hand..badly..and distribute his chips far and wide...
All in all an interesting night
