Presuming drunk Ian got worse when the final started, coz although he had clearly had a few and his language was a little bit colourful when I was sat at the same table as him, he was in no way offensive or upsetting. I'd much rather that than the (presumably) sober guy on my table the week before who wanted to have an argument with everyone in the room after going out to a standard beat.

Claire, I have already apologised for that and to be honest I'd prefer it if you didn't raise it in a public forum.

Is drunk Ian really just setting out to push the limits? He knows the score f(f)s, he was donkament director last time I played at The Western and had the respect of the locals. If someone at that FT (yes, yes, I chopped it) had complained about bad language he'd prob have asked them to tone it down.
So why does he then have a skinful round Luton town centre, amble down to the G and give it 'fark this, fark that' at the final table?
He's an affable guy on the whole and that sort of language doesn't bother me in the slightest but it does some folk. Next time someone should prob pounce on it imo.

I like him a lot, have known him many years. I just think it's wrong that Luton Management encourage (by inaction) this sort of stuff.

I agree Tikay. Not Ian's fault really.
I like Ian too, and to be honest he's always good fun to have at the table.
.....So the real question is, how do we resolve this?

Well after one of the the fighting episodes, they told me they had found a way to prevent it. They put up a notice saying "Fighting Prohibited".......

You could not make it up, really.

LOL. So we should suggest a sign that says....

"IF YOU'RE NAME IS IAN, AND YOU'RE AN EX-DEALER, AND YOU DRINK ALOT, PLEASE DON'T SWEAR AT THE TABLES"
"(IN PARTICULAR SAID SWEARING MAY UPSET THE SKY GIRLS, AND THEIR 'BOSS-MAN')."

owzatt?
is there room on the desk for a sign THAT big?

A saver point goes to Lucky for last ninth's tenth. Otherwise it was a final table chock full of players that didn't quite make the final 50 in the fantasy poker league, with Derrick Coe winning and Keith Miller in mid-div.

The following players still owe their November total please...

Gamblor

Whatever you do, don't miss out on today's Racing Post. There's an interview with a poker LEGEND in there...

Roflcoptors, I've only just seen the page in the paper.
I swear I was ASKED to do the interview - not shameless self-promotion ftw - and didn't choose the headline, which has had me rofling for a good while now.

Not online unfortunately. Worth a trip to the paper shop just for the headline imo.
