Must Move: The easy solution.

This is a cracking rule that Hinge and Bracket invoke any time it suits them and forget about any time it doesn't.

If you have a main game and a 4 player list, it is perfectly acceptable to start up a 2nd table and make that 2nd table a must-move table.  If you don't do this, you weaken the main game.  Once the second table is up and running, full, and with a waiting list, the game should immediately be called an independant game.  Future players are introduced into whichever game needs balancing (with existing players having the right to transfer) and both  tables can survive. So many times they have had 2 healthy games playing 6 or 7 handed on each table after a long period of 2 full games and then simply kill one game to fill up the other - madness.  In LV they will sometimes call a game a "must move for 1 hour" which gives the main game support, but the new game a chance to flourish.

when Hinge and Bracket are in town, they just look to see which player it is that they would be getting and decide whether they want to have a scream-up to make sure they get them.  They normally do.

Lol at a Hinge & Bracket "scream up".....!

I've not seen Murray - who I get on fine with - in an age, but Mrs Wet Blanket was parked there on Sunday, and appeared to be sucking a lemon all night, hence I had no intrerest in playing the "main" DC, but the 2nd DC game was quite healthy & loked good fun. Until the "Must Move" thing caused it to break.

Niall had a word with me on Sunday over the "Drunk Ian" thing, & asked me to convey to the bunch of guests (including a young lady making her Live debut) who I took there a few weeks back the Management's sincere apologies for the way the thing was handled. Or not handled, to be pedantic.

Apparently, Ian wil not be allowed to consume alcohol whilst playing poker at Luton in future. If imposed - IF - this will not only solve the problem, but it will do Ian, who I like a lot, no harm at all.

A good solution, if a little late. There have been three or four alcohol related incidents I've seen in Cardrooms the last year or so where Management just stood by, watched it happen, & then, after the damage was done - the next day in some cases, lol - they took action! Whatever happened to basic management skills, & Customer Care?

I've not always been angelic in alcohol abuse, & as a youngster alcohol caused me to make a complete cock of myself more than a few times. I was lucky not to become addicted though, & giving up alcohol at the age of 21 was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Anyway, fair play to Niall for dealing with the issue, or at least making the effort, & caring.

As Chompy has pointed out, there were 11 tables last night, so a great turn-out.

Me and loooofa were there (fk knows why!), and we both sliced thru the field and actually finaled.
VWP us imo.

[ ] We both cashed.
[ ] My TT shove sure didn't walk into farkin' Aces!

BTW, Confirmation that the new Monday is 3 x 4k chips.

so out of the 5 cash games what was being played and what value ?
I know tony hates it but i havent really got any further than hold em, sat online in omaha for an hour or so but thats about it. Obviouslly I do intend on learning it but im not competent enough to play it in a cash game so that counts out dealers choice.

Crikey, double pointage on a Tuesday night!
Nirvana is that desperate for points he negotiated a saver for seventh in a £30 donkament. Kinda sad.
Meanwhile, Thomas proved 'truck drivers like to stick it all in' (you can have that one for free Thomas) by steaming home in third place and easing he's relegation fears.

I think I might be in attendance tonight now that Adam is over his flu like virus thingy. My second visit in December. Online just isn't as much fun.

just home. No leaguers left in as far as I could tell, so looks like zero pointage from the Wednesday donkathon.

A bunch of unknowns at the final table last night, punctuated by Yoda and 77Dave, whose festive offering to JBuff has been unseasonally and cruelly rejected at league headquarters.
Expect a hatful of League donks present tonight. Sir Donksalot is busy with the Guides' Nativity Play though.

Dear Chompy,

Is it not possible that the new league can be more global and include victories that are not at the G but any where you play in other casinos. The last year I have played at both the Victoria & Stanleys, and have won or placed at a number of events, so it gives a distorted view of my points, as I cannot always play and do not want to always play at the G, as Sometimes I prefer a change and play at different venues for a change of form and or atmosphere. Also living in London means that I may sometimes prefer play closer to home.

Dear Chompy

Sadly at the moment I am unable to come to Luton as often as I like. Meanwhile though, whilst circumstances keep me away, I am simply tearing up Facebook Scrabble. I wondered if in 2010 it would be possible to make it the "G Casino Luton blondeite and Facebook scrabble league"? I am able to provide screen-prints of seven letter words used, and furthermore request double points should I beat a fellow league in Facebook Scrabble battle.

Thanks in advance
