Tom. As you are so righteous and have never done anything naughty in your life you can be the judge as to whether any claim for the grand is justified.

Hey Matt, I wasn't pulling you as such, I was just lamenting the fact that we can't take these type of statements seriously.

I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with being called righteous. If I was a gambling man, I would wager that I've been naughtier than you would imagine by a factor of about 10.

I do consider myself to be honourable though, so I'm going to pretend that's what you meant.

If you really want me to adjudicate, I will need more info re the rules.

Are you at DTD this weekend?

Yes mate I'll be there.

I know you weren't having a dig but you are right. For me to offer a grand to anyone catching me then just pull out makes it a farce.

If I back out on this I can never use this method again. This is a very different bet though to the one I have with Cos. The rules with that bet are very easy to set.

It's very difficult to put rules to this because it's all down to interpretation. The point is I genuinely don't want to be playing poker in the way I sometimes do. It's hard to explain on here, I'll perhaps have a go at the weekend.

If it was a straight forward quit completely it'd be easy. I want to be able to play at certain times though and that is where it's difficult.

The not posting on Blonde during work hours thing is also easy. There are clear boundaries and there is no interpretation involved.

I think that's the reason I just flippantly stopped this. It's a stupid bet anyway because of the lack of definable rules. If we can somehow come up with a set I would happily go for it though. The risk of losing a grand would certainly stop me playing at those bad times when I genuinely don't want to.

The righteous thing was a little tongue in cheek by the way Wink

I think you're right about this one being unenforceable.

Well I do want to play but I don't want to play stupidly when I'm just burning money procrastinating.

If there's a satellite on for DTD and I genuinely have nothing else to do then I'd like to play it. It's worth playing so no problem.

If you saw the tournaments I played the other weekend though just to avoid having to do anything else......

It was ridiculous and I truly pi**ed myself off and ruined my day.

It's a tricky one......

I think you're right about this one being unenforceable.

It's also pretty unlikely that anyone would catch me.

If I posted on blonde I'd get caught in about 5 seconds so that one's good.

I can't see people checking every online poker site in the hope they might spot me and fall within whatever rules I set.

Unfortunately I think is one I have to do on my own.

Nice going. Keep us updated with your progress on here.

When's the Vegas trip?

Yeah I'll update each weigh in even if I slip up and have any weeks going the wrong way.

Hopefully I'll have some nice gains to brag about soon too...

Vegas is 24th July for 2 weeks purely a holiday trip, I can never be arsed to play poker in Vegas anymore. I went last year intending to play 8 deepstacks and played the grand total of 1 Cheesy

First proper session at the gym today.  I was late home from work and am really pleased I 'forced' myself into going.  All cardio at this stage, think my legs are going to hurt tomorrow as I haven't run for a long time.

Went to physio today to get everything straightened out following a few minor niggles.

Apparently my pelvis was out of line which combined with my leg falling out of it's socket was causing the crunching noises in my back.

Everything is feeling much better now and the noises have gone so I'm ready for a good shoulders session tomorrow.

Now that I'm back in to training I expect I'll be going to physio every 2 weeks or so.

I think everyone who trains hard should consult a good physio on a regular basis. They really do help to keep you injury free.

Looking forward to the rest of the week. Should be good.

No. Your legs only hurt if you do run for a long time...

Great update mate. I love the way you write. It's like Shakespeare has been re-born.
