Much better food day today which will hopefully get tonight's weigh in back on track.

I know Stu was mocking when I said that a couple of pints made a difference but it really does.

Breakfast - Flapjack

Lunch - Lamb shank, mash, peas

Pre training - 45g protein shot

After training - 240g tuna + 75g sweetcorn + blob of salad cream.

Supper - 45g protein shot

The lamb shank at the pub today with mum will be my last bad food until my holiday.

All you'll see on here from now is tuna and chicken. I'll even be cutting out the rice.

All good.

I thought tuna was one of the few fish that's bad for you? That said I can't stand fish so may be way off Smiley

Hmmmm never heard that before.

To be honest I've never been a fish fan at all but recently I've got in to it.

I was always a chicken/turkey/beef person but I thought a bit of fish would be a good idea.

Have you never tried proper tuna steak as opposed to the tinned stuff?

Makes a fantastic curry and tastes pretty much the same as chicken.

You get the 'mercury poisoning' brigade on teh case about Tuna as it's quite high up the food chain and supposedly exposed to more mercury than othe fish. I know people that stick away multiple cans daily for months on end and they have never had any bother.

Day 4
Brekkie: whole orange, muesli + banana. Orange & mango  juice.

Had to pass on croissants but I am pretty full, some days are definitely easier than others. I don't know if that is all to do with hunger or simply state of mind.

At my parents house today, there is more choccy here than at WonkaWorld. I don't miss eating it, but I know if I start, I will be dangerous.

Sinuses are clearing up, so I actually feel like doing a workout.  Might be limited in opportunity to a few coastal walks. When I get home, back to the gym. I usually just do a spin or boxercise class or 45mins on cardio machines. Is that best use of my time or should I be doing some resistance work with it? Only real goal is weight/fat loss.

Lunch: Home-cooked ham, scrambled eggs, mushrooms.  Melon and grapes.

Dinner: something like this + salad

I recently read an article about this.

Apparently mercury is ok as long as you have something called selenium to counteract it. Talking micro amounts obv.

Tuna apparently contains selenium in greater quantities than mercury so it's fine.
