Going to have a few treats this week then get back into it.  That said, just had my first bread for 12 weeks and it wasn't that great, and I don't miss chocolate half as much as I thought I would

Matt

My bicep is currently 13 inches, what is a realistic target for growth over 10 weeks? Do you know how big your arms are?

I also intend to get some shoulders back, def the area I lost most from muscle wise during my weight loss.

That's a problem when people do weightloss challenges. Unless you think you have too much muscle you shouldn't really see weightloss as the be all, end all....fat loss should be the main goal. (only my opinion obviously)

BMI challenges FTW Smiley

oh no, believe me most of mine is fat

using visual chart guides I would say I started at 25-28% body fat

I would say I am now 13-15%. Mine has very much been a fat loss diet, but its an impossible side effect not to lose some muscle, this really isnt a natural weight for me. Besides It was always the plan to add muscle when I got there, and from a motivational point of view (remember - i am a fatty at heart), i would always recommend people lose as much fat as possible (if they are fatties) before doing the next thing - just because changing shape is very noticable and very satisfying, but so is the loss on the scales.

I read something before starting which advised to measure youself regularly too. THis was a huge motivation fo rme durin g tapering points where it is easy to stop (with a fatty mindset)

BMI is bollocks btw

Don't know how anyone can say BMI is bollocks.

I've just checked mine:

"Your BMI is 27.6, which means you are in the overweight range. Losing some weight would benefit your health and reduce your risk of cancer."

Apparently if I can get to about 14st I'll be healthy.

My plan to achieve this new found healthiness is to stop going to the gym which should help my muscles to waste away and also to stop eating.

Long life here we come.

Well, we didn't want to say but we all thought it.

Adding an inch or so should be pretty easy in your first 10 weeks.

The first couple of months are always where you'll see your quickest gains then it gets difficult.

I'm not sure what size my biceps are. I'll have a check when I get home and let you know. I'm guessing more than 13".

Weigh in tonight 15st 6, aiming for 15stone by Killarney which is the 29th, I think I should be able to do it if I can stay off the booze another month and not do anything too stupid between now and then.

I'm definitely in the "it's bollocks" group. If I was the bottom of my ideal weight according to what it says I should be then I would be horribly thin.

Weight at start: 154.2kg
Weight today: 150.8kg
Difference: 3.4kg

Yesterdays food

Breakfast: 2 slices of malt loaf

Lunch: 2 turkey escalopes

Dinner:  3 chicken thighs and 1 drumstick

Also drank just under 2 cans of diet coke during the day

Weight loss is beginning to slow down now compared to the earlier days. I believe this is good though since now it's time to burn the fat, and maybe a little bit of muscle. Hoping to stay strong though, it's going to be long journey for me till I get to my desired weight/image, but at the moment I'm determined to do it.
