I've decided to go and play the Monte Carlo Event at DTD before Xmas. There's already 148 entrants, with seemingly only around 10 or so bought in it appears the rest are likely to be satellite qualifiers.

On the whole I don't think the event will be a great deal pro heavier or a lot tougher than at the £300 weekends, except with a better structure. Of course this is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Event:

Monte Carlo £250,000 GTD, Dusk Til Dawn, Friday 18th December

Buy in:

£1090

Proposal:

I will be selling 100% of my action for 80% equity. I.e. If you buy a 10% share you would get 8% of any winnings in the tournament.

Record:

This is the first year I've really started playing tournaments as I've always been predominantly a cash player. I return a steady profit from cash most months, though I can't grind as much as I'd like due to working full time. I have however lost a lot of money this year playing house games & taking shots in big games and not stopping.

I chopped the £200 Freezeout at the Vic for £4300, came 5th in the £200 at the Big Slick club for £1500 and most recently 8th in the £150 at DTD for £800 as well as a few mincashes.

Cashes in £150-£750 events total £7050, with me having played 5xDTD £300's, 1 big Slick x £200, 1 Vic x£200, 1 LPC X £750, 3X DTD £150's which = £3,544 in buy ins.

Smaller donkaments aside where I'm probably around £2k up for the year but I've prob only played 10ish.

Other Potential Considerations for stakers:

One thing that may be seen as a potential downside for stakers is that this will be the biggest event I've played to date after the £750LPC. I don't think this will affect me negatively at all. I'm quite used to playing for similar amounts in cash games etc and never play scared etc. I think it will make me focus and try harder if anything but it could be a potential downside for anyone wanting a piece.

I feel I'm playing well in tournaments this year, pretty much always ammassing a stack. Apart from the IPO where I completely blew up and spazzed my chips off I was chipleader in the £150 at DTD losing 2 300k flips before the final table (with 2mil total chips in play) and then a 600k flip with 8 players left to exit 8th. I was also chipleader after day 1 of the £300 and got outdrawn in big pots when all in pre to mincash.

Cliffs notes for section: Feel I've run below ev and felt even more like getting it out of my system here.

Monies:

5%= £54.50
10% = £109 etc....

Payments:

Payments by bank xfer pls.

Any questions? If not, flame away.

Kind of thinking about turning into a long running one, where the humour comes from the repetition rather than the actual being funniness of it.

Also to quote you on a staking thread for the same event:

Yeah just use a staking template from someone else dude. These are pretty tilting and you'll sell more quickly with an identical proposal that's presented in the right way.

It's like a CV. You might include the same information as the next guy but if his is presented in the right way, he'll get the job.

Also include your Hendon mob, result results, any online data/graphs etc.

Erm not at all actually. My hendon mob is inaccurate so I didn't want to mislead people who don't know. I displayed these results in correct fashion in the OP.

I don't think I have a sample of more than 10MTTs in the last 3 months to a particular nickname online as I'm predominantly playing PLO cash but split my other play between Victor Chandler, Blonde, Boylepoker, William Hill and FTP accounts. Hence no OPR. More than willing to supply any of these names to anyone who's not Barry Carter and asks seriously.

I don't use trackers for PLO but some of my small stakes grinding results can be seen in the online tournament staking area.

Finally, my post on Jason's thread was constructive and not trolling, yours was. I put together a sufficient proposal.

Thanks,

For the record, I was 100% trolling, however you might have wanted to mention something was wrong with your hendon mob db in your original post.

What is the error on the DB btw? I had a look and it looks about right:
