Looks like I'm the only hardy soul braving the freeroll.  What's to do in Luton on a Bank Holiday Monday between 3.15 and 7.30?

Luton Town play host to Grays Athletic today,Kick off:3pm

Lutons last 3 home games have seen the Town score 16 goals so may be worth a trip Claw

Best priced at 18-1 on a 5-0 home victory, and an attractive 200-1 on a repeat recent 8-0 victory,as Luton are at full strength with 2 new strikers on the bench these seem to be very generous odds indeed

Why not take a walk into the wonderfull Mall centre located in the middle of town?

Opened in 1972,this famous landmark has over 100 shopping units to view inside
Originally named the "Arndale Centre" it was bought by new owners in 2006 and renamed "The Mall"
Despite the name change,it has lost none of its elegance and charm and hosts many famous high street brands within its walls

The "Galaxy centre" located on the west side of Town, has a wonderfull modern air conditioned cinema
Merely a five minute walk from the "Mall" you can view many of todays latest hit movies in very comfortable surroundings

Luton has many excellant eateries, from Chinese to Indian,Afro-Caribean to traditional English dishes, food selections of all tastes are catered for
The Brewery tap pub just down the road from the G has excellant home cooked food,i can vouch for the ales served as being as good as any in the Town
That said, having seen the state of the chef at 5am this morning, today may not be the best day to sample the food at said establishment

If pokers you thing,G-man normally runs a £1-£1 DC game from mid-afternoon for newbies interested in learning the game
Entrance is capped at £20, so why not come on down and learn Dealers Choice in a friendly atmosphere with you host Graham Rogers?

We hope you enjoy your visit to Luton, and look forward to seeing you again soon....

catching up on last few days thread content this morning, and much lol'age at this from mr R Star, the newly crowned Luton tour guide (ex weather-man cos Lucky got him the sack from that job)

Dearest league elder

I noticed in your earlier post (since modified) that you think there will be circa 40 runners in tonight's inaugural £250 jobbie.
Surely u had an accidental extra "0" in your estimate, hence the subsequent removal?

So tonight is basically pointless then?
No comp?

News coming in from the G...

Celtic chopped it with Pino Grigio. Don't know who made it to the desk first to claim the win though. Pino has a history of being Usain Bolt-like under these conditions, while 'Make mine a doner, in fact make it two' Calenti is more of a Liz McColgan type. All will be revealed in the morning.

RUDonking tried to claim saver points for finishing tenth in a field of 44. Pretty standard work here...

lol chompy - i beleive saver pionts are available for cashes???

Drainage - 40 was the figure a senior G staffer said he would be happy with for tonight. It remains to be seen whether that estimate is on the ambitious side.
RUHoldage - savers only paid down to two places outside the official payout spots, as well you know...

I was chatting to one of the dealers last night about tonight's comp. Some of the management are hopeful for even as many as 50.

My prediction is 6 turn up to play, and decide not to bother.

I predict 4.

40? 50? It's the biggest mismatch of expectations since Avi Darvish told his wife he was due a result sometime soon, ten years ago

£250     .....     8 runners      ......      no ta.

Now, down at TC's in Iron Maidenhead there's a cracking little comp advertised for tonight  - 12k (with 1.5k add on if you're not 'fashionably late') 20/25 min clock for forty squids - to rival the G Spot's very own Wednesday crapshoot.

http://www.tcsports.org.uk/tournaments.asp

I know where I'll be this evening     .........

Chompy what's the odds that the Berkshire Bash attracts;

a) A bigger field?

b) A bigger prizepool?

Don't think there will be a prizepool at the G tonight Luther sir, so no offers on that one.

50? Are we all just pessimists or are the G staff supreme optimists / deluded? Trying to think of one reg that will defo play this and can't.
