Chompy showed me this letter yesterday at the G. He seemed most distraught about the whole situation.

Dear Mr. Wheldon

I am writing to inform you that we were going to offer you the position of poker correspondent in the Edgware and Mill Hill Guardian. This position would have offered you 60 words per quarter for you to give our readers an in depth understanding of the many vagaries of the game.

I do have to inform you though, that it has recently been brought to my attention that you have become something of a serial quitter. In fact around the offices here, you are known as KK. apparently ordinarily that would be Cowboys but in your case it stands for Kevin Keegan the King of all quitters.

I am sure that you agree with me that such an august publication as ours could not be associated with a character such as yourself as we have the lowest turnover of staff in the western free press empire indeed our tea boy Angus has just celebrated 60 years of providing the refreshment in our offices.

We did of course all enjoy your thread entitled Chompy's Recidivist 2010 G Luton League/Scrabble thread, but feel that your dedication and commitment going forwards might be on a par with Carlos Tevez continuing at Manchester City.

We do however wish you every success in finding literary work that ably suits your talents and would like to direct you to McDonalds whom we hear are looking for a new marketing person to come up with interesting messages for the piece of paper that lines the trays in their restaurants.

Good luck
Ed

Absolute carnage! It's all change at south/east/central/lesser/greater Acton...and maybe the end of the line for Sir Flipzwellalot.
Treble points has changed the texture of the top completely. Maybe British Gas should consider a similar move. Stop washing your jumpers at 300 degrees Gassy!
45pts go to Sir Bernard Of Concrete Mixer, 36pts to G-Rodge and 27pts to Celtic, who built a mega stack before getting slow-rolled by D'Artagnan at the final table.
But what about the main event? Well, table four was like watching a Daniel Negreanu tutorial video, as pupil no.4732 fought it out with pupil no.6917. Not much three-betting, plenty of pot control, a pleasure to behold.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waCJETmhi0c&feature=related

I was going great guns too but then lost a 50-50 to Evil (EV11 EDS, EV11 EDN and EV11 LED all still available from DVLA). Then lost my first flip to an MASer. All pretty standard.
15pts to Handsome Paul, 9pts to Expressman, 6pts to Snatimaras. Watch the latter sneak up that table this month, I feel a Secretariat-like surge coming here.

Yesterday's triple points exercise proved a resounding success, with plenty of leaguers taking advantage in the £5 rebuy, so...

Tonight's £50er will ALSO be triple points, yep.
im not biting so you can put it back to how it should be.... however if you declare that I pwn your soul poker wise you can declare yourself the winner...

Unlucky Claw, you played well last night,

i sure did. Bubble was deserved so can't complain.

Please reconsider Chompy - this thread just wouldn't be the same without your unique style - look forward to you update posts every morning. Please don't make my sad, dull existence even emptier.

I kid you not Paul, I arrived somewhat early and stumbled across what could only be described as a scene from one flew over the cuckoos nest, I think it's called the £5 rebuy I had no idea it could get so busy, though I suspect that the railbirds or at least the ones managing to drink from a mug without a straw were the carers? i passed an aimless hour wondering which one had the larger IQ, I came to the conclusion as another bumbling idiot attempted to shuffle the cards, that tom myland was beaten into second place by a woman dressed completely in purple who managed to run over my foot with some sort of three wheeled sand yacht. by the way if you read this tom I would be very grateful if you park your skip in a more prominent place than you usually do on boxing day, I will have a shit load of boxes the remnants of a 40lb turkey and an old chair to dump.

The characters & events in this post are fictional & any similar events or any person with the same name living or dead is purely coincidental.
