Been exchanging info/tips/bets with a fella for over 10 years and he's mustard.

Usually horses but sometimes other stuff as well.

But for the first time ever he's put up a dog for tonight.

Lode Henry in the 7.49 Sheffield.

I've already backed it, but any thoughts Scotty?

5/2 into 6/4 so it's warm at least.

God speed it's little legs.

Sorry Camel, only just seen this. Haven't even had a bet for a couple of weeks. Hope this won for you.

Back in the game, Newcastle on Sky tomorrow, lets go.

Could possibly be a nice each way in Farloe Tango's race? 365 go 1/3 top 2 and it 10-1 bar! What do u think?

I've taken the 25-1 on T6 Mill Whiskers seems far to big and 11 points higher than anyone else. With Satan Jimmy.

Just sorting out other bets now Omm, but thoughts on Hadrians Wall in final at 9:19pm? Put him up as can't have the faves from those traps.

Yeah, didn't back that race as I really didn't fancy the prices or going against the top 2, however your write up makes sense so a small investment just as an interest.

To be honest I Like looking at the books and seeing what bookies have priced up wrong for a decent dog and usually just back it to the hilt, I've done that today with Calzaghe Davy who I got at 9/4. I usually get a nice fav as well that you just know will end up odds on but they are doing at a decent odds against in the morning, yet again got that with Lagganmore Milan 6/5 this morning.

I've got the time to have a good look and study the form, what do you do? Is it just a case of watching the races or are you looking for anything in particular?

Yeah, I'm really suggesting people on here back Hadrians Wall but just had to write something up and can quite easily see neither favourite coming away. Most other sites going with Pay Freeze but if pushed I'd have Alba over Freeze. Probably.

No real strong opinions on anything on the card tbh.

Like you say, with Sky cards it's important to get in early on shorter ones that you like as price contraction is muc more common on these nights. As it happened, I opposed Davy but you did well to get 9/4, will go off c.6/4 I imagine.

Standard research consists of your general form reading and watching races but you'll know that there's so much more to it than that. I'm trying to work on my track knowledge at present, i.e. run to bends, shape etc. Think that'll help me.

I quite like a couple of 12/1 ish ones. Both trap 1. 8.34 Global Way, well drawn and seemed a big price with a field of railers and the favourite in 4. 8.49 Sarosota Lee, qualified from a tough draw last time and has a much better chance if it can break from this better draw.

Yeah I can imagine a couple of big priced winners tonight. Good luck.

Should enjoy it round Wimbledon, shouldn't he? Strong run tonight. Horrible conditions for the dogs to get any sort of momentum and he held on well.

I don't think any dog would beat him at Wimbledon. Still a great dog.

Good to see a greyhound I was following last year return to action after a bad injury, Aldworth Samson. The Newcastle reg will take part in his first race since April of last year! Had bets on him at huge prices for the 2013 Derby as I was so impressed with him at Newcastle, only for the injury to strike. Good luck Samson.

And in other news, the Springbok begins tonight at Wimbledon. I'm not mad on hurdles but had a few darts. Anyone else?

Oh, and Golden Jacket final early afternoon today. One of my favourites, Hometown Honey is odds on favourite - thought I'd have a stab at getting her beat.

All 3 Springbok greyhounds through to the semi-finals. Razldazl Butch is now clear favourite, and as short as 7/4, whilst Newinn Hawk is 10/1-14/1.
